    I'm old enough to remember Ben Davidson, 6' 8", 275 who was an absolute beast and mean SOB. He didn't tackle, he would grind QB/RB's into the turf. I think he started the Raider's 'tough as nails' reputation.

    The Lions are doing this with some practice squad players on defense. Aaron Glen has done a masterful job as DC with many starters out.

    I went to the same grade school as Roger. We are both from Silverton, Ohio where Roger married my buddy's sister. He's about as decent and good a man as you can find.

    Dan Marino. A great, great QB who sadly never won a Super Bowl. He was in one but it wasn't his fault they lost. John Elway was a great QB also.

    I was in his store several times when he was on 42nd St. A first-rate operation with beautiful humidors and other cigar accessories, and knowledgeable staff.

    Why do you think that clump of trees in the 2nd photo along the river's edge are dying? Their roots should reach the river so probably not a water problem.

    Years ago, I read a serious article stating hundreds of aged scotches were scientifically tested for age accuracy. Almost 30% were not even close to the age indicated on the bottle. I don't know how viable the conclusion was.

    Agreed on KC tanking. Hopefully, the NFL will feature other matchups and the viewers won't have to watch that insufferable Taylor Swift and her phony, goofball antics.

    I'm a Bengals fan but admire the Lions and their head coach. Just like Cincinnati you've had lean decades but are now knocking on the door for all the marbles. Kakahi Jim puffed JJ up but he can throw the ball with accuracy when he had to. Michigan had a heck of a ground game. I think JJ was a second-round pick but hey all the NFL teams roll the dice in the draft.
