  1. I can assure you the Stones won’t disappoint!! Been a couple of times, and it’s been a few years, but they won’t let you down. Saw Bob Seger a couple of months ago. What you hear on the radio is what you hear at the concert. It seems that the days of unaltered/non-enhanced music has passed, so going to a Bob Seger concert and hearing what you expect to hear is a real treat.
  2. Please use Ball jars to support my alma mater (Ball State U.), so they will stop calling me for money.
  3. IMHO what ever your work out routine is, that’s the problem. Routine is a killer. Variety is what keeps you/your body working the hardest. Sometimes in the gym 4 days a week, sometimes 3 days a week, sometimes heavier weights with low reps, sometimes lower weights with high reps. A lot of golf (get outside as much as possible)). Sometimes cardio, sometimes I take the week off. As a matter of fact I feel stronger (lifting weights) after a week off than any other time. At this point in life for me, it’s all about fighting atrophy. While I’m not old, I’m not a “spring chicken”. Moderate alcohol (Thurs-Sunday), enjoy a good meal (steak, fat, deep fried, whatever) just don’t do it every day. Try to knock out as much processed sugar as possible. All that to say, don’t stop living just to live.
  4. I don’t smoke that much compared to most. Maybe 1-2 week in the good weather months and nothing in the months when I’m going to be miserable outside. I’m a very fair weather smoker. With that pace most cigars have a distinct flavor to me.
  5. As long as it maintains the temp and humidity you want, use it!
  6. Spygate 2x’s (Jets and Rams), and deflate gate (Colts). I see a pattern here
  7. Well...Uuuummm...hhhhmmm...I’m not sure what to say about this “thing”. It seems to be a more efficient approach to acupuncture. Or you could “poke” three cigars and once and hope for the best. Maybe I could use it as a divot repair on the golf course?? How about protection on the subway?! Or maybe I could use it to jab an annoying person in the eye, there’s always one no matter where you go. So many options for $40!!! Sign me up!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  8. It’s been done in Tulsa. Called the Flying Tee. Can’t say it’s any cheaper than Top Golf, but the “knock off” is out there. On another note, I did start my own business (bought a franchise), and I became a statistic. Scary part is, I would love to try it again, excluding the franchise piece of the equation. I always say that running and owning my own business was the best education I ever got, and also the most expensive. Don’t regret the failure for one minute, and would love to take the lessons I learned and make a go of it again. If starting something only cost $25k, I’m in!!
  9. Would be a great place for FOH members, residing in the same city/location, to start a local forum. Watering holes, cigar friendly locations, etc. if anyone in their respective forum is brave enough, setup/coordinate a smoking event where the FOH locals can meet and smoke.
  10. I never got the belt, but my grandfather would get us with a fly swatter when we gave him grief. If you recall the handles used to be made from metal, and they had some “action” in them. He was using a walker to get around by then, so I presume it was the only thing he could use and swing accurately at the time. Lucky for me I didn’t know him in his younger years as I’m sure the tool of choice would’ve been much worse. Also, my godfather let me stand in the front seat while driving around town. It only took one sudden stop, and my head cracking the front windshield, to not allow that any longer. We actually got smarter about it. After that incident I just got through the open window of the car door, with my feet inside the car and the rest of my body outside the car, while riding around town. I still don’t blame him when I forget things or for all the other voices I hear in my head. And at only 35mph around town, I’m sure I would have survived a fall.
  11. I’m not sure where the true bottom of the temperature range is for a cigar. The standard quote is 65-75F. Anyone know how low the temperature can go before having a negative effect on the cigars??
  12. One word of caution. A lot of wine coolers will reset to their lowest temperature setting, if power is lost. The two I’ve had would go down to 42F or 5C if I lost power.
  13. That’s why they killed him!
  14. Just depends on what you’re looking for. I would say TW or Goody have the best selection. However, Specs is the only, of the three, that carry Belle Meade, which I really like. Overall, I would say Specs has the fewest options of the three. TW & Goody have more to choose from.
  15. DFW resident myself. Seems like TW has the better prices on most things. To me Specs seems pricey. Goody Goody appears to be a close second to TW prices.
  16. I just found my new “best friend”!
  17. John - myself and my neighbor (both FOH-ers) live in “The Colony” Tx, about 20-25mins north of where you are staying. I am unsure of our schedules, but please let me know near that time and we will see if we can make it. I will tell you, smoking in Dallas in any “establishment” has become almost impossible as it has become state law that no smoking is allowed. We can figure something out. Even if it’s a few people at my house on a patio. Steve
  18. Note in the pic of the Jefferson Ocean (on the bar shelf) that next to it is a bottle called Little Book. NB’s grandson created it. I would recommend trying it if you can find it. Very small release and likely only behind a bar somewhere. Also - I am not a fan of the Four Roses line, however the Four Roses Single Barrel is worth a buy IMO. Should not run more than $35-$45 USD.
