  1. These are the most common solvents used in modern solvent‑based decaffeination. Methylene chloride (dichloromethane) or Ethyl acetate. Just sayin'...I used to work near a major coffee processor, the stink from the decaffeinating process was unbearable.
  2. I could have written that exact same thing a couple of years ago. I'd suggest trying the Corta Suave from Fab 5, but let them rest for at least 60 days. Mild, creamy, easy draw, tons of smoke.
  3. While I certainly don't disagree with your assessment of his reporting style, and he certainly is a drama queen, how much of his reporting and exposure of the staggering amount of fraud in Minn do you think he could bring to light without YouTube? The mainstream media would never, and still hasn't, given it much exposure as they seem to have a common, but apparently incurable affliction, that prevents them from presenting the truth to their viewers, I still can't fathom why he would choose to report from Cuba, but I am guessing that beyond the public's' need for constant sensationalism, he wanted to show the joys of Communism to the American public who seem to be headed in that direction regardless of the facts.
  4. Yeah, no s**t. Anyone who has uncovered a confirmed hundreds of million dollars in fraud, and by the way, the estimates are upwards of 8 billion dollars of US taxpayers money wasted in Minnesota alone, has got to be pretty unpopular among some folks. I'm guessing anyone who pays taxes isn't too upset though. Why he is in Cuba? Don't know and don't care.
  5. Look at the guy's hand, I doubt he's ever done a hard day's work in his life.
  6. Looks like you're in the minority. Todays' CBS is a far cry from the old 60 minutes show. Personaly, I am extremely frightened for my grandchildren growing up and living in a world where it is impossible to separate truth from fiction unless you see it with your own eyes. SMH GPT-4o mini Searching the web CBS News approval rating March 2026 cbsnews.com natesilver.net Hide Reasoning CBS News Approval Rating The current approval rating for CBS News indicates that 35% of Americans trust the network. This is a noteworthy figure in the context of the evolving media landscape, especially given the increasing public scrutiny on news organizations.
  7. Here is what the average Cubano recieves each month from his 'government'. Hard to me to imagine anyone not in the ruling elite or military would want to continue living under the communists. Sad does not even begin to describe it. 🇨🇺 Exact Monthly Ration Amounts (Standard Adult) Below is the clearest consolidated breakdown of what an adult Cuban is officially allotted each month. Availability varies, but these are the formal quantities. Staples Item Monthly Amount (per adult) Rice 6–7 lbs Sugar (white + brown) 3 lbs (typically 2 lbs white, 1 lb brown) Beans 1 lb Cooking Oil ½ lb (≈ 250 ml) Salt 1 small bag (not always monthly) Coffee 4 oz (usually mixed with fillers like chickpeas) Pasta ½ lb (not always included) Matches 1 box Protein Items Item Monthly Amount Eggs 5–10 eggs (varies by supply) Chicken 1 lb (sometimes replaced with another protein or skipped entirely) Fish 1 lb (irregular) Canned Meat 1 small can (sporadic) Milk & Special Items These are not given to most adults: Group Monthly Amount Children under 7 1 liter of milk per day Seniors (over 65) Sometimes powdered milk or soy yogurt Pregnant women / medical diets Additional items depending on prescription 🧭 Important Context These quantities have not increased in decades; in fact, availability has worsened. The ration is designed to cover 7–10 days of food for the month. The entire ration typically costs under $2 USD at subsidized prices.

  9. Awesome! I finally got it on the first try!
  10. Like I said, quite a stretch... and I might add speculation, conjecture and opinion. Too much for me to unpack, so I'll refer you to post # 3 in this thread, adieu. 🙂
  11. Quite seriously? Conflating Taiwan, Cuba and Epstein is quite a stretch. The US Dept of Justice arrested Epstein in the summer of 2019 and immediately started gathering evidence, then siezed and raided his island later that year and grabbed all his tapes and correspondence. Do you really think that after all that was done to discredit that bad orange man in the succeeding four years they wouldn't have made it all public before now?
  12. Been a Wordle player for quite a while now, but never signed up and have no idea of how long my win streak is. I used to start with 'pious' then 'alert', but lately I've been starting with 'adieu' and go from there. Another good series of games are Quordle / Octordle.
  13. I'm pretty sure we all can agree that a regime change in Cuba will be a good thing for the Cubanos. Question is, how to effect that change? Anyone have a better solution that economic pressure? I don't think a strongly worded letter will do it, and I don't see how a populace armed with sharpened sticks and rocks can overthrow a militarized government.
