sharks
My Cigar of the Year award goes to the R&J Short Churchill. From my limited experience with cubans (12 Months) and the limited variety I have currently smoked this is a little beauty. It has been a reliable cigar which has proved time and time again to be quite exceptional to my limited palete. It lit easily, the smoke was a brilliant white and the burn was spot on. It had a woody and spicey taste to it and wasnt to strong. I would say to my palate it had a smooth medium to full flavour. I keep going back to the R&J Short Churchill and till this date it has never let me down. These guys have been consistent and reliable and will always be a valued addition to my humidor. I would suggest to anyone to give them a go! Sharks
bigfunkyg
That's quite a dark horse pick. I do agree that the R n J Short Churchill is rather underrated. Very consistent, woody spicy opening, somtimes developing into that coffee creamyness which my associate with really great cigars. I got two 15 packs (3 x 5) in Tubos back from Cuba last year (no box code). Saving my last few packs to see what a bit of age does to them. There are so many great Robustos to choose from (CORO, RASS, BRC, PSD4) but I think this one often gets left out of the bunch. Would be very interested to hear some other opinions on this one.
