SnakeHips
Haven't had one of these for a while, as I fear smoking them all, but I was really jonesin' for one, so I brought one to work. From a 50-cab, 2007 box code. Pretty thing it is - golden wrapper shining with oils, goes so well with the band adorning it. This parejo is bent slightly in the middle, from the ribbon. Punch cut provides, as expected, a perfect draw, slightly firm, and tasting of the rich tobacco I'm holding. Lit it up, and it gave me exactly what I wanted - rich, rich flavor in the Bolivar kind of way. The best way I can describe the flavor is "thick." The smoke is smooth, dense and plenty, and it provides a mouth-coating sensation; this combined with the deep earthy-sweet flavor makes this cigar really unique. Reminds me almost of soft-serve ice cream with caramel on top. Not particularly strong, but you can feel it has some power. If Rob puts these in the same strength category as the Ramon Allones Gigantes, I need to get some of those. The cigar is pretty consistent the whole length, the exception being in that it gains strength toward the end. Nuts, earth, cream, molasses, leather, Sugar in the Raw...all reminding me why I do not want to smoke all of them too quickly. Oh, if my entire collection could be this hearty and satisfying. 94/
