vivalanation734 Posted December 7, 2009 Share Posted December 7, 2009 Here is my first ever review on FoH. Brand: Bolivar Vitola: Petit Belicoso EL 09 Construction: Perfect. At least Cuba is putting more quality control on their higher end smokes. This thing is flawless. Beautiful cap and foot. No soft spots. Pre-Light Draw: Perfect resistance. Lots of pepper on the lips. Rich tobacco taste. 1st third: Surprisingly mild for a Boli. Cedar, earth, and pepper, but nothing to knock your socks off. 2nd third: the true Bolivar flavors are starting to show up with some strength. That lovely citrus flavor is now making itself known. The flavors are quickly matched with some vegetal youngness that should be gone in a year or two. This thing has some potential. Final third: The cigar finishes on a great note if you can see through the "greenness". If you get stuck on the youth of this stick you'll get frustrated, but if you see through it you should be able to see the potential this thing has. Final rating... 88 with the possibility of 91+ in a year or two. In a few months when the price drop on these, it'd be a good time to invest in a box for aging.
