El Presidente
I was at my normal Monday lunch with ken naramura enjoying a PL Belicoso Extra while watching the Pats/Colts. Seriously, the Colts were never in the game. I love sport....seeing them turn such a deficit in the last Qtr was a joy to behold
Rogers72
Huge Colts fan here. Living on the east coast of U.S., the game didn't start until about 8:30p so I sat on my front porch with a Bolivar PC and some Scotch. By halftime, The cigar was finished (delicious), my Colts looked like they were gonna get creamed, and I was nodding off in my chair. I went to bed and woke up to some astonishing headlines! Pity that they start the games so late on Sunday and Monday night! It sounds like it was one for the ages! The Colts are going to have to get healthy in their secondary before the playoffs or they won't last one week.

BTW, how is the PL Belicoso Extra coming along?
bigfunkyg
Why in gods name would you go for it on 4th and 2 from you own 25 yard line? I still can't make sense of that. I'm glad they lost. Randy Moss looks like a Terrorist now.
Rogers72
I like the call by Bellichik. He was completely confident that his offense could either get the 1st down and/or thought that his defense could stop the Colts whether it was 20 yds or 60 yds. Unfortunately for him, it didn't work. Trust me, the Colts would have much rather him punted that ball than to risk not getting it back.
thechenman
Gutsy call, but irresponsible for a head coach. Sure he would have been praised if he had succeeded in converting a first down, but in that situation...it just was not the right call to make. In the end, the Pats paid to price fro Beli's arrogance. And I say all this as a Pats fan.
jquest63
Lets Go Colts! Indy celebrated well into the night! Bad Call by Bellichk, the Pats defense deserves more respect.

Randy Moss looks like a Terrorist now. Being a Pats fan for 20 years, I have to say I've learned a few things about 'in Belichick we trust'. As for last nights 4th down attempt...Pats' coaches like to see earlier in the season how certain situational plays are defended against in case Indy and Pats meet again in the near post season future and face the same scenario. Plus, it helps build confidence whether you make the conversion or not. That's the way I see it.
reigndrop
Check out this perspective: http://freakonomics.blogs.nytimes.com/2009...chick-is-great/ Personally, I agree with Bill's call all the way.

I love the Pats, I loved the entire sport BUT to watch the team I love fall in the fashion it did with such a bad decision, I just can't believe it happened. At least you should be able to find comfort with the fact that it was a result of a poor decision made by a jackass coach (something real), as opposed to, say, a rule made up on the spot by the league just to screw over a team because of angst for the owner, like say, um, the TUCK rule!!! I hate football.

2000ARMY
Personally, I agree with Bill's call all the way. So do I .... it was the right call by a great coach .... amazing that everyone was blasting the call until tons of analyzing went into it and most now agree .... it was the right thing to do. I love being a Pats Fan!
