Where would enjoy a Havana in Las Vegas?

Recommended Posts

I'll be in Las Vegas next week for a trade show and I'm looking forward to sitting down with a nice Scotch or Rum and enjoying a couple of my favorite Havanas.

Where are your favorite places to light up in Sin City? I know there's the Fuente place @ Caesar's Forum Shops but it seems like a place where you have to buy one of the cigars from their humidor; no BYOH (bring your own Havanas). Or is that not the case and you can bring in your own sticks as they'd glady sell you $20 drinks all night? Rhumbar at Mirage looked nice when I was there last, simply because it had a nice outdoor area where I doubt you'd get much objection. I'll be at Mandalay Bay most of the time, so anyone know if there are cigar friendly places to sit back and relax?

I'm open to going anywhere, cigar bar or otherwise and will probably be on The Strip so I'll pass on Downtown/Fremont recommendations. All I need is a comfy chair, ashtray and a server to bring me a drink every now and then. Hell, I guess a sports book would work! LOL

Interested to hear where you'd recommend to have a Havana!

I brought all of my own cigars to Casa Fuente as I was staying in Caesars. We smoked there 1 - 3 times per day and were never bothered. Sometimes I'd only purchase a coffee and sometimes 2 or 8 drinks :innocent: They have really good mojitos. There are a few good lounges around as well. If your down on Fremont, check out the Triple George place. Its a cigar bar with really good food.

Thanks, TrickNick. Everything I've read about the place paints it as a great place but nobody ever says anything other than "if you're looking to smoke any cigars in the Fuente family, come on down..." so I just assumed you had to buy what they were selling. Oh and everyone raves on the Mojitos :)

Good to know I can bring my own cigars!

I highly recommend the tip row at Little Darlings. Only issue is this club does not allow alcohol. So get yourself a little toasty before going, then sit back and enjoy the experience. Oh, and make sure someone watches your cigar if you happen to take a trip to the back room.

I will add a second for the Casa Fuente in the Forum Shops at Caesars. I visited it in May while in Vegas for a 5 day Bachelor party, and loved every second at Casa Fuente. The drinks are great, the Waitresses are out of this WORLD, and.......there is no problem at all with bringing in your finest Habanos!

There's Proof!

From left -

The Bachelor, a good friend of mine, smoking a Habano that I brought him, but can't remember what it was

Myself - enjoying my Sancho Panza Sanchos with a fine glass of MacAllan 18 yr (The rest of the chumps ordered Sangria!)

My good friend Bill - Smoking an ERDM Choix Supreme, apparently the first Cigar he's actually liked (he's a cigarette smoker)

The bachelor's brother and Best Man - I don't know what the heck he's smoking. It's a Habanos that I gave him though!

CF - Highly recommended!

And if you aren't completely turned off Fuentes themselves - I don't care for much of their cigar, but try the Don Carlos Lancero (ask for it by name). Quite possibly one of the finest NCs I have ever tasted. They are only available for purchase at that Casa Fuente too!

Another vote for Casa Fuente. It's a great place to relax and enjoy a mojito or four while smoking a good cigar. The scenery's not bad either.

Sangria? I'm with you: the Macallan is the way to go!

Definitely going to be spending some time at CF when I'm there next week...

There's a nice cigar bar in the promenade between Bally's and Paris called "Napoleon's". Great atmosphere and a good place to relax and enjoy a cigar -- until the dueling piano's act comes on with it's way too loud music.

Thanks for the advice, gang. I ended up visiting Casa Fuente both nights I was in Vegas and can officially say that place is on my short list of favorite places in Vegas. The waitresses were beautiful and very friendly and actually knew their cigars! The mojitos were GREAT and the Cuban styled music in the background made for a great atmosphere to smoke some tremendous cigars.

For anyone looking for a nice place to have a drink, people watch and enjoy your cigars, Casa Fuente is the place!
