Cuban roller in Moscow

Was at a massive party last night in one of Moscow's more glamourous clubs, and low and behold - there was a cigar roller there!

In general, it's fairly typical for the Russian elite to have these sorts of "luxuries" in their clubs. Assuming the quality would be bad (as Russians aren't big cigar smokers) I got chatting to the roller and his pal.

The roller's name was Felix, and he claimed to be Cuban. Watching him rolling, his technique was good, so I ordered a petit corona from him.

Man that was a FANTASTIC CIGAR! It was like smoking pure cream! The burn was perfect, the tobacco oily, and the taste was typical Cuban. Though the vitola was not a petit corona, but a little bit bigger and fatter. My first thought was that it was very similar to a Punch flavour profile. The roller agreed, but said he prefers smoking Vegueros (that was when I understood he was definitely Cuban and not some Nigerian student trying to earn an extra buck).

Couldn't believe I met a real roller here in Moscow. I got his number, gonna give him a call and get some more of his custom rolls!

Any ideas who he might be?

I've never had the good fortune myself, but I am told there is nothing like a good fresh custom roll. Glad you enjoyed yours Kanga.
