What year is this cigar?

a friend brought this R&J to me today...said his dad got it before the embargo...unfortunately, the cigar has dried out from never being in a humidor, but it still has a nice tobacco smell

anybody know what year this cigar may be from? thanks!

Just a guess from looking at the tube. ALSO I think that at the opening end of the tube,

there was a tape that went around the end to ensure air tightness.

My guess would be late 40's early 50's like 1947 or , 48 or, 49..... OR 50, or 51, or 52.

Anyway, whatever the year, It's to bad that the cigar did not hold out.

It would have been interesting to smoke in good condition.

I still think that is a very cool find. A shame about the cigar, but the tube is a keeper.
