Bartolomeo Posted August 25, 2009 Posted August 25, 2009 Hello, I live In Raleigh and cigars have been my passison/obsession for the past 30 days. I have always enjoyed cigars but not like the passion I have had learning as much as I can in the last 30 days. I am educating myself as quick as possible on the proper setup for my humidor, what to look for in sampling different cigars and everything else cigar related. To show you crazy I am, my dad gave me a Pastro de Paja humidor a couple of years ago to keep my 5-10 cigars in it, I decided I need something bigger and have bought and returned 3 humidors in the last two weeks after deciding they all were not big enough finally decided on a Vinotemp 28ct that arrives this week. My current stash is in a Tupperware container with Oust fan, 65% beads, all resting nicely. I have learned reading from the various forums that everybody is right and everybody is wrong in their opinions , you just have to decide for yourself what works best for your situation. My theory is to get a humidor going and build a nice foundation off of that, which will allow me to keep my smokes in an environment that I dont have to worry about. I can then worry about what smokes I need to sample and try out Thanks for all of your help in advance and nice being here Bart
Tampa1257 Posted August 25, 2009 Posted August 25, 2009 Welcome to FOH Bart. Nice intro and best of luck finding the right size humidor. Always buy bigger than you ever dreamed that you would need in a 1000 years! If you're ever in the Winston-Salem area let me know and I'll make sure you smoke a cigar that has been sleeping longer than you've been smoking cigars from my humidor.
