Hello old gang...haven't been around in a while. Divorce will do that to a fellow !!! The saga continues BUT I finally got possesion of my precious humidors after getting dicked around for a year. After taking them home I opened them to find countless boxes missing and the worst part is my beautiful Aristocrat has some interior water damage and a bit of mold on the bottom. Apparently my lovely soon-to-be ex bride shoved the box around and spilled water in the interior which destroyed about 10 boxes of the best cigars known to man. Luckily the rest were salvageable...so out of 80 or so boxes from the Czar , I have about 60 intact. I sanded the interior and dried it out. Looks like the box is going to be ok. Luckily I have a nice stash in the online humi to fill in the gaps. Good to be back and will check in as frequently as I can !!! BTW...I also bought a house. So in celebration I smoked a nice Monte 5 today...what a friggin relief. It was excellent. Rob , Lisa...the road is long but I'm swinging for the fence !

I recall a saying: Tough times don't last but tough people do.

It definitely sounds like you have a great attitude for dealing with tough times. Best of luck with any continuing or lingering stuff.

Also looking forward to seeing around the forums a bit more now.

Welcome back! Great to hear both you and most of your cigars made it through the divorce in one piece!!

Though I might not know you smokem I can certainly relate to the frustration and pettiness involved in a divorce, but at least you got your cigars back - unfortunately with some collateral damage :P

I'm also doing the divorce thing, I honestly can't wait to start a new life.

All the best mate

Welcome back mate!

Lise will be thrilled to see the post when she gets back tomorrow :)

I look forward to having you back on board and gladdened that what you have gone through is coming to a conclusion.

Onwards and upwards!

Welcome back Smokum, now about this on-line humidor I have been meaning to tell you for a while. I was moving some boxes around and pushed some water over and well yadda yadda yadda... Good to see you back mate! :cigar:

That sounds like something Ken would do.... and then call the insurance company about :cigar:

Smokum...congrats on the house and the recovery of your cigar stash. I have no experience going through a divorce, but a close friend of mine has. Judging from his experience, it can be brutal at times...but when the ties are finally cut, newfound freedom and a new life are just down the road. Enjoy them both along with your cigars.

Glad to hear you're getting back on your feet.

Sorry to hear about the humi damage, but it could have been worse!!

It seems as if you're taking the high road on the whole "ex" subject, which is very commendable, and shows true character.

Here's hoping everything works out well for you!

Well gangthanks for the welcome back and comments. There really is no high road in divorce. This wacko just wants to bleed me dry. So I decided not to give a **** anymore. Got my cigars, kids are loving the new house. Got my 1964 Chevy 409, my E55 Benz..had the most beautiful Puerto Rican girl with me on my birthday tonight. Life is good !!! I have a few squirrels here at the new place but I'm taking a shine to a little chipmunk that has thwarted my efforts to kill him. He may be my new pal. I'm gonna see if he hangs out with me on my next smoke break. Is Ken still posting pictures of naked men ????

I have also owned a 409 Chevy and E55 Benz and also dated a Puerto Rican woman-- BUT not all at the same time. Good going!! Add some great cigars and it must be absolutely awesome.

Oh, did I mention that I also went through a divorce too? And it was a gorgeous blond girlfriend--and a 75 Caprice convertible that got me through it safely. Still have her as a close friend today, too (the blond, that is). You are quite fortunate to have what you have to help get through this absolutely horrific event. And you'll realize just how fortunate when you look back in years to come.

Good luck!
