Ken Gargett Posted June 24, 2009 Posted June 24, 2009 for those who will be watching the glorious qld maroons surge toward history tonight (hopefully), in the very pit of the hated enemy, any plans for what you'll smoke? i know the prez is off to a massive lunch which will continue through to tonight's game, and while i would love to have done that, the scum that is telstra has put me too far behind - and have tastings all day tomorrow. i'm thinking an SLR DC with a large slug of zacapa XO. at least then if the unthinkable happens, i'll be able to take some enjoyment from the night.
El Presidente Posted June 24, 2009 Posted June 24, 2009 The game starts at 7:30 Pm so 15 of us local FOH'ers are having a get together from 3:Pm as a warm up I have been ageing a Cabinet of 1992 Partagas Lusitanias which I will be taking to the function for the boys to enjoy. Go the Queensland Maroons!

theholmesmob Posted June 24, 2009 Posted June 24, 2009 End of first half and the Reds in front, c'mon you reds!! RASCC and a couple of glasses of Taylors 80 Acres Shiraz Viognier, they've gotta win.....
maalouly Posted June 24, 2009 Posted June 24, 2009 well what can you expect rob, we were the underdogs, they had the better team let's be honest here ... better luck next year for the blues! butwe did put up a good fight.
Guest rob Posted June 24, 2009 Posted June 24, 2009 Giving them the ball 30 meters from the line about 12 times (at this level) is just ridiculous. Our ball handling skills were atrocious. We deserved a bigger hiding than we got.

Guest rob Posted June 24, 2009 Posted June 24, 2009 Not to defend the hit or the severity - I agree they deserve punishment. But only as a "careless tackle". I don't think there was intent to hit his head. If you look at the replays you will see the first point of contact is with Inglis' shoulder and then then the Barrett's forearm goes up to smack his head.
