Habanos2000 Posted June 6, 2009 Posted June 6, 2009 As I watch the D-Day ceremonies broadcast live from Normandy this morning, I take pause to remember the courageous people, kids really, that embarked on a mission 65 years ago to overthrow tyranny in Europe. So many heroes made, so many lives lost. I just want to say Thank You...
tyler4178 Posted June 6, 2009 Posted June 6, 2009 Exactly 65 years ago today, the largest amphibious invasion in world history took place. Thousands dies on six beaches: Omaha, Utah, Sword, Juno, Gold, and Point du Hoc. They overcame the Atlantic Wall, which not even the Spanish Armada and Napoleon Bonaparte's navy could overcome. They faced hell on earth, and did not stop. They died for liberty, and I thank them for it.
smokem Posted June 6, 2009 Posted June 6, 2009 Men braver than I've ever been and most likely ever will be.

Thank you Dan, rest in peace
