jfury76 Posted May 5, 2009 Posted May 5, 2009 Hello fellow FOH, I would like to briefly introduce myself and offer greetings and salutations to all of you. I have been a lover of habanos for over 15 years, and I am very happy to have found this forum. I enjoy many different vitolas and marcas of habanos; however, I primarily stick with the robusto size for regular consumption. Some of my favorites currently are: Saint Luis Rey Regios Hoyo De Monterrey Epicure No. 2 Montecristo Edmundo Hoyo De Monterrey Petit Robusto Partagas Shorts H. Upmann Magnum 46 Currently I am looking to expand into larger formats, namely, the prominente or double corona. More specifically, I am looking for a DC that is representative of the "old style" pre-Castro havanas. Also, I have been searching for anything close to what was referred to as American Market Selection or AMS from the 50's and before. I would like to experience the flavor profile of the mild double claro Cuban leaf with the rich binder and filler tobaccos that are the norm in any habano. Any thoughts or ideas would be greatly appreciated. Happy Smoking.
