Met him many times at the local lounge I use to love it when I would talk to him and he would see a Cuban hanging out of my mouth .He always offered me a cigar and I would say no thank you .I know it pissed him off as he tried to offer me them many times. People love his cigars as they are the biggest selling cigar in the states.Like I say most cigar smokers in the states these days don't know anything about a good cigar.

I would have to believe this is the norm and not the exception in MOST high volume type small businesses. The guy wants it done the way that's made him successful - quick and efficiently. Is this the best for the end user or the employee's ..... nah ........ he made the decision to pack out 300K sticks a day now he gets to enjoy the profits and pressure associated with his success. Suck it Rocky!

And RP your cigars suck here is a man who told me cigars don't have great flavor aged!! Yes he told that to me to my face one of the times I hung out with him.And than I thought to my self this guy has an aged 92 line I think I was laughing my ass off inside.But one thing is he works very hard to sell his product and is always on the road.And he seemed like a nice guy when I talked to him many times.

No, not everybody in the States has the same tastes as you do. I know plenty of guys who won't touch NC's with a ten foot pole, others folks who prefer CC's but are open minded on occasion, and many who smoke just to smoke a cigar. My father is an example of the latter. He's smoked for 40+ years, cigars from A to Z. These days, he doesn't care what he smokes as long as it's a hand made cigar. RP has carved out a niche for himself. You, I, nor most here don't fit into that niche, but there are many out there who do. Perhaps they've never had something better, perhaps they don't care. A cigar is a cigar is a cigar, and it comes down to preference. No need to hop on your high horse and berate such a wide group of people because they don't necessarily agree with your opinion.

sounddust Posted April 4, 2009 Author Posted April 4, 2009 I'm thinking t's kinda like a reality show of sorts that's unfortunately so popular nowadays. It certainly seems that way to me, kinda like the WWE. I half expected Rocky to choke slam one of the fodder.
