Punch - Punch Punch BLP DIC 07

Wrapper : Flat coco brown some plum not to oily . Little rough by touch . very little veins

Construction : cap to foot perfect

Smell cold : Floral notes with some spice not to strong of a smell very mellow

Weight in hand cold : More tobacco towards the cap seems to be most Punch Punch are like that.

Draw Cold :Very good draw with little resistance perfect was a little scared because of more tobacco bunch up towards the cap.

First Draw hot: Med flavor from the start

Foot to half way point flavors :

Toasted notes

Salt

Tangy sweet tobacco

Marshmallow flavor -- I know its crazy

Cumin

bread flavors

Still med flavor at half way point but picking up a little more also a very Long finish on the palette very creamy enjoyable and very complex.Lets see what the halfway to nub has to offer.

Flavors noted above still present but a lot more coming into fold here as the cigar is getting much full in flavor.

New flavors noted :

Carmel

Sweetness of a desert wine

Maple syrup

Salted rich beef flavor

Also picking up a lot of flavors that would be described in a great aged Scotch .

Sweet nutty flavors

Cigar has now picked up to full throttle with about a 1 1/2 left.

Just Amazing !!!! Complex as a cigar can get !!

This Cigar was Amazing it offered a lot of flavors a young cigar should offer .Again the blender blended this cigar to smoke great now which it should always be .Judging by how great this cigar is young it will definitely have a great aged flavor profile down the road. But when its this good now I will smoke it now as I have no time to wait when its this good.

Rob you gents must have had a bad box as the 5ver I have all 3 smoked so far have been on the money or maybe the box these came out of I was lucky .Please give them another chance and maybe try and find the same month and box code as these.

I can say everyone go out and get a box because if you get the cigars I have you will not be sorry and will be rewarded big time.

93/100

4 smoke out of 5

This picture says it all !!!

Great review Jimmy! I am hoping that there are alot more of your Punch around than the ones the guys reviewed the other day! I am yet to try this one and sadly may never have after the video but I will give it a chance soon.

Well the reason i got a hold of this 5 ver from a friend was that they were smoking excellant the 07/08 and heard this from many here too.

So it looks good as Rob got a bum box..

Sadly inconsistency has plagued the venerable PP for maybe five years in my experience. Still worth a try by all CC fans I reckon as it can deliver as Jimmy's review shows

Hey, great review Jimmy, I have not had a PP this stunning myself, maybe 90% of your experience with it. For me its also a great sized cigar, not too fat, not too short, just right.

I did have an 05 box and its was terrible and bland but word going around is that like i said 07/08 have made some type of come back.

I am sure others will chime in about this cigar and i hope more on the 07/08 's.

thanks for the review Jimmy. I know how much of a proponent you are of fresh sticks but personally I would rather go for the aged SS#2's or SS#1's- and recent SS#1's until they are all gone. If you had your choice between 2 DB's of these or a cab of 03 SS#1's which do you go with?

03 SS#1 because the box code I smoked will be around for a while or newer ones .I can tell you this the ones I bought from Rob (SS1 07 ) are on rocket fuel as you age your cigars more than me these can age for a long time and just get better. They are dark and oily heaven I would say go for the 07/08 SS1 trust me or just ask Rob I am sure he will agree .I really think 07/08 are some of the best years I have smoked and I mainly buy them .I know a lot of people just want to buy aged cigars that's fine but 07/08 for you to age would be your best move as they have unlimited potential because the tobacco is excellent for those years
