aavkk Posted March 20, 2009 Posted March 20, 2009 spot on review Jimmy! I have a box of mid 07's that seem similar to yours, you call it almond, smoked oak and coffee and I call it ANIMAL CRACKERS! Thats right, I'm not afraid to say it, animal crackers. This cigar tastes just like animal crackers. I love em'.
mbrody Posted March 21, 2009 Posted March 21, 2009 Nice review and pics Jimmy. I haven't had animal crackers in a looooong time.
jeromeroselli Posted March 21, 2009 Posted March 21, 2009 Thanks for the review Jimmy, always enjoy em'
BonVivant Posted March 22, 2009 Posted March 22, 2009 Great review, going to have to study the wheel of flavors ( or rather how to describe it) Wow!
ksblazer Posted March 23, 2009 Posted March 23, 2009 I really like the sweet chocolate/cocoa flavors that VR Famosos have. These are one of favorite Robustos. Not sure why they don't get mentioned more?
Ken Gargett Posted March 23, 2009 Posted March 23, 2009 good stuff jimmy and i was going to ask, what is that dodgy watch doing there? i'm assuming it was a present from a loved one.
Jimmy2 Posted March 23, 2009 Author Posted March 23, 2009 Thanks Smithy ..Ken the watch was bought from the Prez a couple of years back...
ilgatto Posted March 24, 2009 Posted March 24, 2009 These sound very good. How are they compared to Clasicos and Familiares? I just acquired a box of each and I have yet to try them. I am dry boxing a Clasico to try in a couple of days as we speak.
Guest rob Posted March 24, 2009 Posted March 24, 2009 Nice one! I've had many unicos but am still to try one of these. Will try to get around to them soon.
hoyopr Posted March 24, 2009 Posted March 24, 2009 Great review and photos, I have yet to try anything from VR, but will note to self to try one of these soon.
asc Posted April 1, 2009 Posted April 1, 2009 Nice review. Have a box of clasicos from '97 that smoke like a dream. What was the length of time you had with this cigar? ~60 min?
Guest tugboat Posted April 14, 2009 Posted April 14, 2009 Just received a box of LPM JUN 07. Construction looks great. Mines resting but sounds good to smoke now. Thanks for the review.
jquest63 Posted April 14, 2009 Posted April 14, 2009 Hi, Great Review! Excellent Photos! The Famosos are a personal favorite. Well balanced flavor profile, with all the flavors and aromas that I love. Just enough power, but with finesse. Usually smoke them with a mug of rich nicaraguan coffee and water. Cheers
