If only we hadn't tied six games at home this season Not sure if anyone read Zidane's latest comment that he considers Gerrard to be the best player in the world. I am Liverpool fan, but I think it is hard to find a more complete, well rounded, motivated leader and player anywhere in the world. I hope everyone had a great weekend of footy and smoking....

I hope everyone had a great weekend of footy and smoking.... anytime anyone beats man u is a good day but when the glorious gunners return to form, even better. if only they hadn't been so appalling so often this year... still, a lot of injuries. if i was given the opp to get just one player to start a team, as much as he is a complete prat, hard to go past ronaldo, though i'd think long and hard about fabregas. great weekend of footy - not only man u and the gunners but in our rugby league, the broncos up by a point in a thriller and the disgrace of the comp, manly, thumped. but best of all, the scintillating qld reds with a famous victory over the previously unbeaten south african sharks. doesn't get any better than that (unless we had a weekend where the reds beat the hated nsw sooks, the glorious skins beat the cowgirls and we won the ashes). a man can dream...

But stranger things have happened. That Torres goal was fun to watch. As for the CL, its between Pool, Barca and ManU. Chelski have an outside shot. Lets hope for Pool and Barca in the final as these are the only teams out of the 4 that actually try to play beautiful football.

strayvector Posted March 16, 2009 Posted March 16, 2009 4 points and a game in hand will be tough for either Chelsea or Liverpool to make up. Friend and I were discussing during the L'pool vs. Real game how Gerrard is quite possibly the best in the game when he's on form. He's got pace, great tackling, finishes well, passes well, holds well, and defends. His work rate is incredible, which is something that you can't say about Ronaldo. I still think that Fabregas has a very good chance of becoming the best in the world.
