... no Rob I am not going to add to the bitching. I assume that you will do whatever is in your power to save my cigar world! I see the Party Lonsdales in flats is on the list. When was the last time those were produced, do you know?

I assumed that one was added as an administrative formality. Cohiba Seleccion Reserva is another.

I share your pain Ray. I can tell you that we have railed long and hard since June last year when the list (much expanded) was first released. Plenty have been saved but not enough.

It is one of the reasons to get as many true Habanos people to join FOH if only for weight of numbers. When this years list comes up for discussion in June/July 09 I would like to put forward a petition on what should be saved. Perhaps 3000 - 5000 names and signatures will give cause to think again.

From the list, only the packs of 5 Monte Joyitas are deleted........however this list may only be whats left for this LCDH to order. The B25 may be finished.

Rob apparently has a full list of deletions but is embargoed at the moment. :)

Right you are, Trev. I must have been semi-blinded by rage. :D

I've never seen the Joyitas in CBP. As small as they are, a fiver must be about the size of a chewing gum pack.

Thanks for doing that Trev!

What the hell are HSA thinking with deleting the Punch Petit Punch?? I find it hard to believe they dont sell many of these.

Posted

Very nice Trevor. I wonder why the Punch SS No.1s are only available in 50's. Perhaps they would sell better if it was available in 25's? R.I.P.

Yep, you really need to read this list all the way left to right before

you panic, although alot of cigars are being lost. You need to read

the packaging elements before you go off and buy 5 boxes of Don

Alejandros, lol. Of course, you could still DO that. Mostly the list

cuts cabs of 50 and petacas of 3 and 5. I DO see some that are

actually fully cut, but nothing on the list bothers me personally. My

favorites are still widely available...for now.

rob, some of what's on that list has been "officially" discontinued for years (SP CG'S for example). so that can't be a completely "new" list. i'm confused.

I believe as Trevor and Rob have pointed out, the inclusion of said cigars is an administration formality. I guess HSA couldn't even give those cigars a proper send off. Sancho Panza, I hardly knew 'ya...

I hear you.... Simply put.... It's just a great cigar.

I guess now is the time to stock up people.

The Partagas Lonsdales were intended for deletion circa 2002.

They were not shown in the 2003 Habanos "The Complete Guide" which was (intended) as a complete list of current cigars.

Also not shown in the 2006 The Habanos Size Guide Posters.

I have them listed as a 2002 deletion in my website. ;)

This is just ridiculously sad...

Ok, they mostly delete packagings, but the BCE in 50's is very different (and IMHO much better) from the one in 25.

And what about the inmensas? One of the greatest cigars to age because of it's aromatic richness...

I'm gonna buy a whole cargo of these, with one of the punch PP and SS1..

Posted
Please tell me that the Inmensa and the SS#1 will not be discontinued!!!!!!!! I may have to quit smoking cigars! :D

Get them while you can. I believe in Inmensa's last year of production was 07.

I read this list when posted, had some worried thoughts, but I didnt post any reply - until now -

I am almost finished my box of Punch Petit Punch and what a great stick that is right outta the mailbox.

I have a hard time believing those were not popular enuf to keep.

that does make me a bit sad - Rob, put my name on the petition.

Trevor, the only question I have for your very nice consolidated list is the Upmann Monarchs new deletions on part 1 of the list only shows the 25A/T being cut. Would these still be available in the dress box format box of 25?

I have the dress box of 25 shown as discontinued on my website.

This deletion was taken from an un-dated master list I received in November 2008.

On that list only the Monarcas A/T were shown (Code - 10.9047.11.0290, Packaging - CB-UW-C/S-9,9,7-A/T-25).

I also checked several large online LCDH and only the A/T were available.

I am sure Rob would have an up-to-date list & advise if the B25 is still available.

PS. I know that the B25 is shown on the Habanos website but .....(I'll leave it at that).
