Guest rob Posted February 23, 2009 Posted February 23, 2009 Oh dear god can you just imagine I can just imagine the conversation I reckon Rob and Arthur would have been talking tongue in cheek the whole conversation...
Ken Gargett Posted February 23, 2009 Posted February 23, 2009 Was just over at CA reading James Suckling blog (2/22/09) and he said he just sat with two aussies JA Arthur and Rob in Cuba at the Habanos registration. El Presidente? we met suckling last year at the festival - and he came across as a nice guy - rob was to meet with him for a bite this year. still, if rob performs as we might expect him to, then no doubt australia will be the next place the americans invade. what is most interesting is that rob has never bothered with registration before. we just turn up to the press conference although rob is normally 'unavailable' and i have to take notes. this year, he is having to do it himself. serves him right.
yossie Posted February 23, 2009 Posted February 23, 2009 Suckling said They were continuously watching my ass. It was so terrible.
Guest rob Posted February 23, 2009 Posted February 23, 2009 I'm kind of bummed... I had planned to go with Rob and Arthur this year but work pressures got in the way. No doubt when I go next year Cuba will have changed a lot with incoming American influences.
Chicago Posted February 23, 2009 Posted February 23, 2009 Suckling said They were continuously watching my ass. It was so terrible. Who was watching Suckling's arse, Rob??!!
laficion Posted February 23, 2009 Posted February 23, 2009 WELL, AT LAST, Suckling has found something of interest to put on his blog. Another time ,when It was of interest, was, quote "Habanos Festival, including a line extension for the Montecristo brand and a new size for Trinidad. But it’s failed after some obscure websites reported on a number of the novelties."

I find Suckling's blog quite entertaining at times; however, I don't like how he doesn't give credit to whichever website he gets his info from. I mean, his little "source-confirmed" list of REs is a carbon copy of the one found on Trevor's site. Right down to the difference to the font of the hyphen at the end of the 1st two examples. I mean, come on, give credit where it's due.
