zxcvbnm Posted January 15, 2009 Posted January 15, 2009 Okie Dokie I'm new to the forum and I'm a big fan. It's a great way to manage your spending on these wonderful cigars. I've only been smoking for a year but I have had the privilege to taste and enjoy some of the finest cigars in the world. Cohiba siglo's, montecristo 4's and 5's, ashton vsg's, padron 1926's, tatuaje red labels, brown labels. I really enjoy rocky patel's cigars at these early stage of my cigar life. I really believe i know a lot about cigars already because I have read pretty much everything there is book wise, all the internet blogs, articles. A lot of stuff. Although, and this is a big although; The lingo you guys use for the cigar names I am having real trouble with!!!! I know the RASS. That's about it. I know usually people ask for good cigars for a beginner or novice but I feel I shouldn't trouble you awesome guys with another one of those questions which probably include cigars you don't enjoy any longer. A list would be great!!!! Greetings from America.....I'm a big fan.

aavkk Posted January 15, 2009 Posted January 15, 2009 well I'll rattle off a few for you: 1. Coro= Cohiba Robusto 2. PLPC= Por Larranaga Petit Corona 3. BOTL= Brother of the leaf 4. BPC= Bolivar Petit Corona, CE corona extra, cg corona cigantes, etc... I could go on and on for a while but the fact is that you just need to jump head in and read old posts. I spent a few weeks just reading old reviews and posts on various subjects after my introduction. I know what you mean though about the acronyms but it will all make sense after some casual reading. Just dont listen to anything written by "El Presidente"
mkz Posted January 15, 2009 Posted January 15, 2009 Welcome! Do NOT miss Trevors site about cubans (cigars that is)...
Mel Posted January 15, 2009 Posted January 15, 2009 Welcome. I do not recomend some cigars for beginers and others for veterans so try them all. Some of my first Cuban cigars are still my favotites but there are some that I do not smoke as oftern as I used to. The lingo takes time and don't be shy about asking questions. Most people on these boards love to show off how smart they are.LOL BBF Bolivar Belicoso Fino SLR SaintLuis Rey and on and on.

SamuraiJack Posted January 20, 2009 Posted January 20, 2009 Welcome! I was way into RP's when I first started too, but my palate started disagreeing with them after a while.
zxcvbnm Posted March 11, 2009 Author Posted March 11, 2009 Thanks, when i first read stuff on here it was really pissing me off.....i really enjoy the SCDLH EP'S and the PSDC#2'S. I felt like i was ****in Russel Crowe in that beautiful mind movie, breaking codes. It wouldn't hurt to say connaisseur #2's or principes. Were getting lazier and lazier in here in America. --The reason why president bush didn't respond quickly to hurricane katrina isn't because it's a primarily black city. It's because the residents in New Orleans became so lazy that they took their own city's name of New Or-leens and they pronounce it Nawlens. The true mark of laziness.
