Well last night we went out with some dear friends of ours for some of the best Italian food around. The funny thing is this place is not in Chicago. I grew up in Chicago and have eaten at some of the best Italian restaurants in the city both well know and unknown. When the place in Richmond, IL opened up a few years ago we tried it and I was an addict from day one. Philly G the owner has a dish called the pork chop paisano that is a miracle in a pork dish. So anyway back to the evening... I brought a few shorties just in case someone actually wanted to step outside with me in the snow storm to enjoy, but they didn't. I love snow and there is nothing like smoking a cigar in a snow storm it's just so peaceful. I decided to smoke the party short just because the pc's that I brought would take just a little bit longer since I was doing this solo.

I had inspected this cigar before I left the house and it was just beautiful with a nice chocolate wrapper and a few veins and not very oily. I stepped outside since IL is now a socialist state unfortunately. I pulled the cigar out and it clipped very nicely with my xikar cutter. Pre light draw was very nice with some hints of clean tobacco and a nice sweetness. I toasted it up and off we go!

First 1/3 of this cigar was very nice with a nice clean tobacco flavor with nice floral tones and a little dough, very very nice. I love Partagas!

2nd 1/3 stayed the same but I want to say that those cuban torcedors are just unbelivable perfectionists of construction. I want to add that with the cold temps and slight wind I expected this cigar to have massive burn issues, but it was perfect and razor sharp. the ash held on for half way through this cigar until I tipped it in the snow so I wouldn't get cigar ick on my jacket.

Final round of this cigar didn't not change much which I attest to it be rather young but it was still wonderful. I would say this cigar was full flavored with all of those floral notes and dough and cedar that I picked up. Body was med to med full... I would rate this cigar about a 90 just because I know it will be much better in about 2 yrs. Here are some pics, enjoy!

Let is snow, brother! Those shorties are mighty tasty. Never thought I would like a short smoke until I had a few of those. Still coming down here in the NW burbs of Chicago.

Thanks for the review - more snow on the way for here as well. I still have not tried this cigar (I'm also out of Bolivar Corona Juniors).

They will be on my next shorties list.

Good, Fun Review Terrantheman...I'm a fan of the short smoke with big flavor and am excited for my first box of P-shorts to arrive! They're great for us cold weather folk too!

Another small smoke that I also enjoy: the Siglo I. Yum!

Great review. That little cigar is a firecracker that I love with coffee. The only thing I don't like about them is that they're 2 ring gauges too large and 3 inches short.

I love that first picture! Evocative! :D No matter that the picture quality isn't perfect, you captured the moment very nicely! There's nothing like a good blur to set the imagination going... B)

I wish I could like the Shorts, however, mine still haven't come around. 2015 maybe...
