Just curious, where did you smoke this (inside/outside?) and what was the temperature? I've had similar experiences with the wrapper splitting when it was pretty chilly outside, <50F. I'm not sure if that might be the cause of the splitting but the pix did bring back memories.

it certainly looks a crock. i can't tell if a fake but it seems you didn't get one of the good examples, unfortunately. try another in 6 months and let us know again.

for me, one tiny positive is that even though the burn is obviously wonky, in most of the photos there is the makings of a good cone - which i believe is an important component of a top cigar - so perhaps with more rest, you might find them much improved. fingers crossed.

To Habanos2000, I'm from Ohio, very cold these days. I smoked this in my garage, the garage has a gas furnace (not radiant heat) installed w/thermostat, so temperature was 70 degrees constant. Yeah, at this point I'll give it some more rest and try again.

I think I have to agree with fake on this one, and ONLY because of the application of both bands looks

as if it was performed by a chimp with a broken arm. I would hope these were not the ones found

discounted recently. My opinion on the EL Cohibas from 06 and the Maduro 5 for that matter, do not even

attempt a similarity in blend to Cohiba. I DO like the Secretos, but ONLY when these go onsale do they even approach being worth the money being asked.
