This is the 3rd I have smoked out of a box of 10. First 2 sucked but this one was very nice and enjoyable. Burn was dead even and draw was spot on. Medium bodied with mild spice, leather and toasted tobacco throughout. Nothing like it's younger cousin the Divino which I get coffee, cream and nut flavors and that I enjoy mostly in the morning time with a nice white mocha from Starbucks. This Distinguido gave me hope for the remaining 7. Should be nice to see what comes of them when I break another out 6 months from now. Just thought I would share as I know the Cuaba line hasn't gotten much love on this forum. I think the Divinos and Distinguidos were the only ones that showed hope with exception of the new Cuaba Pyramid.

I think I have been ruined on Distinguidos. I have the fortune to have not tried any, except from the Millennium Jar. They are smoking incredibly these days. If I had a current regular production, I think I would be disappointed.

Nice to see we have a lover of Cuaba amongst us

With the first two you tried (and hated) can you detail and lineal taste/flavour/positives to the third? I suppose what I am asking is that from your impression was the third "a fluke" ....or in the third can you see an evolution from the first two?

Not so sure I am a lover of Cuaba. I have only had 2 different vitolas, Divino and Distinguido.

The issue with the first Distinguido I had was that it was very young. The burn and draw were off and the flavors were very muted. It was just blah blah blah with a hint of nastiness. The second was a little bit better but the situation I was smoking it in didn't allow me to focus strictly on the cigar. I do remember that the second had a better draw and burn but flavors still weren't anything to be excited about. To answer your question, the 3rd, in my opinion, was not a fluke based on the change from the first Distinguido to the 2nd. It will be interesting to revisit them 6 months from now.

i have only smoked one regular production (which i liked) and one mill jar distinguidos. i also recently acquired the limited edition "cushion" humidor with 5 distinguidos and 5 salamones, but i have not smoked one yet. the mill. jar was good, but a bit of a let down, so i hope the one i have left is better.

as much as i like this line i still can't believe i don't own any regular production distinguidos.
