Micro printing

Interesting observation noted today on a box of H. Upmann Mag 50 that I just received, albeit rather dumb but you can't reverse years of military observational training....you can clearly read the micro printing on these tax stamps....also on the Punch Asia RR? Have they made some changes? Just an observation…boring I know.

Not boring.. I've taken a look at my boxes and the micro print on the seals and have noticed the same thing. Most of them anywhere from muddled to vaguely resembling letters. Then one day I get a box with letters I can almost read without magnification.

Anyways... to make a long story short I took my macro camera and took some pics of various boxes I've received.

I'm not concerned to the question of authenticity as I've smoked all my boxes and they're all legit. I'm just surprised at the quality. The last pic is the clear type I mentioned.

Exactly...I was shocked that I could clearly read the printing (obvious difference) that stood out...micro no more! Wilkey has posted some info in a past thread regarding the clarity but the font is far larger as well.

I first saw this new microprint in October of 2007 and reported it then, if I recall correctly. Since then, it has popped up on boxes from various world regions and from cigars as humble as Quintero y Hermano to Regional Editions.
