TR Posted October 22, 2005 Posted October 22, 2005 Is trading allowed here? It got me thinking that it would be fun to do a bit of trading with the folks on FOH......
strayvector Posted October 22, 2005 Posted October 22, 2005 » Is trading allowed here? It got me thinking that it would be fun to do a » bit of trading with the folks on FOH...... I'm up for a bit of that. Although, it might have to wait until I get back to the US on a permanent basis. Hopefully mid December.
Loki Posted October 22, 2005 Posted October 22, 2005 Sounds OK but there must be some rules. There are bound to be problems otherwise. We should leave it up for discussion. I'm sure the Prez or Lisa will have some input.
dragon Posted October 22, 2005 Posted October 22, 2005 Seeing as how this forum is sponsored by a vendor, it may not be the best idea in my opinion.
Tampa1257 Posted October 22, 2005 Posted October 22, 2005 » Seeing as how this forum is sponsored by a vendor, it may not be the best » idea in my opinion. Personally, For this Board, I agree, Let's all talk cigars and support one of our favorite Vendors that takes very good care of us!
Jimmy2 Posted October 23, 2005 Posted October 23, 2005 I think its a great idea as long as your trading cigars not buying them or selling them.
habanohal Posted October 23, 2005 Posted October 23, 2005 » I think its a great idea as long as your trading cigars not buying them or » selling them. Im with Tampa on this 1
Spud2 Posted October 23, 2005 Posted October 23, 2005 » » I think its a great idea as long as your trading cigars not buying them » or » » selling them. » Im with Tampa on this 1 The Prez is back Monday I believe, I'm sure he'll respond. If done thru PM it would probably fly, but posting thread may not. If someone saw a thread reviewing a cigar you were interested in getting your hands on and you sent a PM to the author with a request, I don't see the harm. IMO
TR Posted October 23, 2005 Author Posted October 23, 2005 » I think its a great idea as long as your trading cigars not buying them or » selling them. That is exactly what I was thinking.....but then again, that is why I asked the question.
argon345 Posted October 23, 2005 Posted October 23, 2005 » » Im with Tampa on this 1 I too will have to agree in this case..there are other boards out there that could be used for trading. But the all knowing and powerful El Prez will have the final word on this one!!!
cvm4 Posted October 23, 2005 Posted October 23, 2005 I would prefer this board stay talking about cuban cigars and not about buying/selling/trading forum. There are many other cigar forums out there for that.
jay8354 Posted October 23, 2005 Posted October 23, 2005 I guess if people want to trade, they shall probably just sent emails to each other. Rules are important but who is going to enforce them? I think this forum should be left to Cigar reviews. El Prez will sure to have the final say but I think this could potentially be opening of Pandora's box.

smk819 Posted October 23, 2005 Posted October 23, 2005 If you want one, just buy a single with your next order. Easier than trading.
habanohal Posted October 23, 2005 Posted October 23, 2005 » If you want one, just buy a single with your next order. Easier than » trading. Dont half to worry more about conditions of others , and worries of the dredded bug. My last trade was over a year ago. I get too worried if sticks I was tradeing for were so called infected. Just order the singles. Same price from either stick or box. Gotta love that
Jimmy2 Posted October 23, 2005 Posted October 23, 2005 » If someone has some nice aged cigars or hard to get ones.Trading in my eyes » would not be a problem. » » If they are one's in production theirs no reason not to buy single's from » Rob. » » And i agree thier should be no $$$ passed around on the board for cigars » when this is Robs webpage in which he owns a Cigar store. » » I think someone should post something they have to offer and than it » should be done buy E-Mail only. I would only be intrested in aged sticks only because i have tons of regular production cigars. » If it is aloud thier has to be certian rule's... :-D
First Lady Posted October 24, 2005 Posted October 24, 2005 Will have to check with our illustrious leader but alas he is not feeling to well. He will be back on board answering your question later today from his sick bed. We will be back ;-) TFL
El Presidente Posted October 24, 2005 Posted October 24, 2005 I am happy to set up a trading forum here at FOH. While a vendor (a bloody good one ) I am also a cigar lover and FOH member. If it is a generally approved FOH sponsored initiative it is fine with me. I can set up a forum within FOH which is viewable only by logged in members...no problem. What I don't want to occur is us having to run the Trading Room and to handle disputes (which no doubt are rare). Give it a little though and discussion particlarly about the rules. Can easily set up.
jay8354 Posted October 24, 2005 Posted October 24, 2005 I guess it is going to be a new world for FOH members. Trading now... wow... what's next? ;-)
Jimmy2 Posted October 26, 2005 Posted October 26, 2005 Trading is a good thing as long as its aged or hard to get sticks only. There's some sticks i would love to try but can not find on the web .But i think some members could help by getting some of these sticks from there collections that they would love to help a fellow member try.
