Hopefull the Trading room will help match up some folks with out of production or aged sticks. That was my original intention of the question. Not for splits or group buys as Czar sells singles at the same price as boxes......

This sounds like a great idea, but as El Prez said we don't want it to become a clash point.

Maybe a simple charter of agreements (kinda like Ebay style) would be a good idea so that any who participate this can go in with eyes open & no complaints like "I didn't know about that" .

FOH folk all seem pretty cool on the board, but I guess El Prez & Lisa don't want to be acting as mediators for disputes, that would be unfair on them & take away from the fantastic services they already provide.

Just my 2 cents worth, look forward to comments/criticisms

It seems this post is split between "To trade or not to trade" I'll throw my two bob in for what it's worth. Personally I'm not in favour of a general trading board as sooner or later someone is bound to get peeved off through one thing or another and leave a bad taste in someones mouth (presumably from a dodgy cigar).

Keep it as a discussion forum.

Hey we are all getting to recognise one another by user names so I see nothing wrong in contacting via email directly if needed.

El Prez seems OK about it (after all he's a good guy), but I 'd hate to think we had cornered him into decision making.

I believe that it is the intention of El Presidente to make FOH one of the Premier Web Sites concerning Cigars and especially Habanos. If the Membership wants to have a Trading Board, and Rob agrees, then I would support his decision. The final decision should be his as far as what is acceptable and what is not. In my opinion, if the decision is made to go forward with a Trading Forum, I feel sure that very specific and well laid out rules will be announced prior to any trading being conducted.

From talking with Rob, I believe that he has some very exciting ideas for the future. I still say, that not only should we support this fine forum here at FOH, but we should all take care of this Vendor because he takes very good care of us.

I don't know of any other vendor out there that sends out cigars on a monthly basis as Blind Taste Test to many of its members. He is extremely fair and allows different people to participate and try different cigars and helps us all develop and refine our palates because he wants us to enjoy this hobby we all share and for us to continue to enjoy and educate ourselves. Let alone our weekly winners of the "Top Tippers" get very nice gift packages from him as well. Rob goes far above the standard and provides us all with so many extra services that I feel we should band together and support him even that much more because of it.
