Don Candido
» » DC - here. Coming back to life 48 hours later... » » » DC, great job, and welcome back to the land of the living. Do you recall » discussing gladiator » movies with RA?!? :-) Ross, That is just not funny. Rob was the one trying to lick men's asses, upon the basis it was the window to the soul of the cigar they were smoking - or something like that! There was no gladiator discussion (as far as I know and remember.) Rob did ask what I thought of the way the lines on his shirt matched his hairstyle. And for that matter, whether his hair color matched the green shirt I was wearing... Is that the sort of thing you are looking for? He is great when you are in a normal state of mind, but I think he may take advantage of those who are under the influence of alcohol - which by the way, appearently does not influence Rob. He stays basically the same no matter how much alcohol you (I) throw in him. I do not think he is human. Hell - he may be Austraillian... tandblov
Wow, What a GREAT night! I just wanted to add my name to the list of those who had a great time with Rob, Pete, et al. While the cigars were fantastic, the company was second to none. It was so enjoyable to finally "meet" Rob, Peter, Terry, Craig, Mark, Dave and Theresa, Mitchell, John and all the others I am forgetting right now. It was a spectacular evening of amazing cigars, hilarious tales, and friendship. I don't know what else to say but just to add that it was the highlight of my trip to the IPCPR to get together with you guys for the evening. I hope that I have the honor of spending more time with you fine folks again sometime soon. Needless to say, anytime ANY of you come to the great Northwest, you have a place to stay! What a week. I wish I could continue it today with a trip to meet Rob at Belicoso's on the south side, but it's a no go for me. Pete, thanks for all the hospitality & cigars. You're one crazy mother. You guys are a laugh I won't soon forget.
kurtdesign1
» » There were so many highlights but I found it hard to beat Craig who was » trying to convince me that the taste on the tongue of the ash of the cigar » is a window to the soul of the quality and features of that cigar. Watching » him eat ash had me in stitches so upon assistance I tried a little myself » and can agree that ash has a definitive taste of ..........ash In my defense, ash DOES have flavor and texture. Some cigars will have an acidic taste, some salty. Texture seems to evolve & become more silky the older a cigar gets. Perhaps it's not an ENJOYABLE experience as smoking the cigar is but it's certainly one way to enjoy the experience one level further. I may put a post up about my experiences with this... toasterhead
Now I feel stupid... I was calling you TJ all night, then saw what the Prez wrote and chalked it up to my rock-induced deafness. Thanks for the correction. Dave

toasterhead
What a great night! Thank you to Rob and Don Candido for hosting the evening. I felt like a rookie who won the World Series. I was gifted wonderful cigars by Don and Mitch Orchant, got to talk cigar "shop" non stop for nearly four hours, and inspected some highlights of Don's collection. I feel that I made some new friends as well and I just want to say "Yooose guys are fuggin' great". I will try to add names; correct me if I get it wrong. John (who gifted the candy tassels), Suzanna and Rob Terry, TJ and John Don Candido Mitch, Ron and Matt George and Amy Dag, Bob, Rob and Suzanna The usual suspects Rob, Don and yours truly Don and Theresa Alex on the right and friends Sorry, didn't get all the names Rob and Lindsay Terry and Rob, right after Terry asked the waitress out Cheers, Dave
