Miami101 Posted July 4, 2008 Author Posted July 4, 2008 Has anyone had this cigar... Partagas Piramides No. 2 Limited Edition Maduro
zuma Posted July 4, 2008 Posted July 4, 2008 My guess would be that, if they are not in Trevor's website ([link]www.CubanCigarWebsite.com[/link]), then they are unlikely to be legit... especially if they have a band with "maduro" on them.
Guest rob Posted July 4, 2008 Posted July 4, 2008 » Are these real? As far as the bands and photos can indicate - yes. But not necessarily so.

Ken Gargett Posted July 6, 2008 Posted July 6, 2008 » PS. There are 2001 Limited Editions, all with 2001 bands, but they were » released late onto the market , in early 2002. Because of this, there » were no 2002 banded releases. apols, of course there were 2001s - it was the 2002 non-exisitng limited editions i meant to mention.

This sounds very likely. I will weave this into the website if I may :-D

Ken Gargett Posted November 15, 2008 Posted November 15, 2008 » Are these real? » » these look like the original 2000 - from memory - limited editions. the first lot had only the limited edition band and not the year. they were not known as 'maduros' specifically, as far as i am aware. long time since i tried a robusto but i remember them fondly. the partagas - still have a box and went through one or two others. absolutely loved them. stunners. ps - nor were they known as P2's. also, if i remember correctly, there were no limited editions from 2001 (despite a very high profile american expert announcing he had a cellar full) and it was in 2002 that they came in as an annual release and the bands then incorporated the years.
Trevor2118 Posted November 15, 2008 Posted November 15, 2008 » Are these real? » » These releases exist. 2000 Limited Editions. The monte is a Robosto vitola and the Partagas is the Piramides vitola (not a P2). They were not a Maduro (as per last years Cohiba Maduro) but the wrappers were aged for 2 years before rolling, giving an obvious darker appearance. PS. There are 2001 Limited Editions, all with 2001 bands, but they were released late onto the market , in early 2002. Because of this, there were no 2002 banded releases.
