El Presidente Posted June 27, 2008 Posted June 27, 2008 Topic of discussion this afternoon. The French rule that the age of a woman to best suit a man is 1/2 the mans age + 7. That would make mine 28. I couldn't find a single issue on which to debunk the formulae
Cohiba007 Posted June 27, 2008 Posted June 27, 2008 That means I should be dating a 26 year old and she is only 24. The French are always a little off
SmokinAl Posted June 27, 2008 Posted June 27, 2008 Susanna says "I'm not in France" and that you should shut up.
Colt45 Posted June 27, 2008 Posted June 27, 2008 » Susanna says "I'm not in France" and that you should shut up. Hey, sounds like you're married already!
puros1969 Posted June 27, 2008 Posted June 27, 2008 I've got to discuss this with my wife . . . Well maybe not.
Rogers72 Posted June 27, 2008 Posted June 27, 2008 The real gem in this philosophy is that you could only keep the same girl around for 1-2 years before trading in on a slightly younger model.
smokum Posted June 27, 2008 Posted June 27, 2008 I think its a great rule of thumb. That would make my perfect mate 33. I like an older woman. 36 is perfect.

Do I get extra credit?
Shelby07 Posted June 27, 2008 Posted June 27, 2008 When my wife turned 40 I told her I was going to trade her in for 2 20's. She told me I wasn't wired for 220.
Tampa1257 Posted June 27, 2008 Posted June 27, 2008 OK, So now I am in search of a 32 year old with a big firm large chest that bounces nicly while jogging along the beach in her tiny Bikini! :-D

The French rule that the age of a woman » to best suit a man is 1/2 the mans age + 7. » » That would make mine 28. » » I couldn't find a single issue on which to debunk the formulae » How did it become known as the 'French rule'. I am really interested to know how these things develop. Whether it is really is a common view in France or not(?). Some one I know has recently traded in his loyal wife of 25 years. He cheated on her for 9 months and then finally broke all ties (with his children as well), but in a cynical way I always thought if you are going to do the dirty, and you are 57 odd, don't go for 47, trade in younger. By applying the French rule he would be looking at a sweet 35.5 year old!

I applied the wrong rule, no wonder it went sour: Law of Diminishing Returns Sometimes referred to as variable factor proportions, law of diminishing returns states that as equal quantities of one variable factor are increased, while other factor inputs remain constant, ceteris paribus, a point is reached beyond which the addition of one more unit of the variable factor will result in a diminishing rate of return and the marginal physical product will fall. That's why the physical product fell.:-D

tacmedic Posted June 28, 2008 Posted June 28, 2008 that means mine should be 26, so why do I always go for the 21's?
