I hope they do, but the new smoking laws while not as debilitating as some states (like mine) seem to be focused on food service in Nevada. When were you last there Dave? I think these laws took effect at the beginning of 2008. Who else will be there? This is a pretty small crowd thus far! With four or five people, we did not need to reserve an area of the bar; we would have been able to squeeze in. We are set for 20+ people! I am just guessing, but I think there may be some very attractive smokes to enjoy there too. That is enough "selling". If the sexiness of Rob and myself is not enough to attract you guys, I should not have to advertise what we might smoke... But I was personally thinking sort of "large" on that aspect... How often do I get to smoke with my FOH brothers (and sisters?) Just about never... Yes Rob, I understand, Lay off the Turps....

I was going to bring a few specialty items myself but I am more than happy to mooch off of you :-D See you soon, bro Dave

I have a bunch of great cigars to bring, but my best travel humidor (for quanitity) is a Xikar case I got from Mark recently. The only problem? It seems to press the cigars enough to create a pattern on the wrappers. They do not look quite right after they have spent time in the Humi, but they do smoke well. The Humi also works well as a humidor, with the puck/bead replacement I put in it over the sponge. The design issue is Xikar and the previous manufacturers problem - but I love to jab Mark about it when I get a chance... Actually, I think I may drive, so maybe I will just turn one of my desk humidors into a travel Humidor for the week.

I just got off the phone with the Venetian, and they are running a room reservation promotion for 104 USD a night for a newly renovated room in the Venetian. This is a screaming deal. I know that many guys both here and other places I frequent are going with Harrahs. However, for basically 30 extra bucks a night, you get a 800 SF suite with 3 plasmas, etc... Yeah Yeah, You don't spend much time in your room in Vegas. But in case anyone cares, I thought I would pass on this info.

Some friends are staying at venetian and called to get this deal they were told no this deal is not existant. More information thanks. Im at Harrhas because I have free rooms there or esle I would stay at Venetian

I just told the gal on the phone that I was trying to decide between Bellagio and the Venetian, and I heard of this promotion. The promotion is that the average last 5 days temp in LV is your room rate. Right now I think it is 103? You should ask if they will still honor it. Or what they can do for you. Vegas is hurting right now and if you talk to them about what they can do for you, even the large corporate casino hotels can swing you a deal. I found deals at the Mirage for 79 a night. A buddy of mine is staying at TI for 40 a night plus some gambling credits.
