Guest rob Posted June 12, 2008 Posted June 12, 2008 see, this is the problem with all your reviews Rob... now I want one.
El Presidente Posted June 12, 2008 Author Posted June 12, 2008 » If this is a P2 i will be very surprised as the flavors Rob noted taste » nothing like a P2 at least to me.:-) Jimmy I think you posted elsewhere that the P2 was the stongest of all Piramides. I have never found this. God bless the fact that all palates are different Anyway, hows life mate. Sleeping much? :-D
Jimmy2 Posted June 12, 2008 Posted June 12, 2008 Still out of work so i have been up late and on standby with the baby at night but it has not been that bad.Lucky so far

On a side note, does fresh-rolled cigars have their unique taste & favors profile??? Other than nicely-constructed cigars...because they don't work w/ a master blender to develop their own blend. ...smokers can tell a Cohiba from a Partagas but can they tell between a Yolanda's and a Hamlet's ??? And how???? Enquiring mind wants to know....:-P

And how???? » Enquiring mind wants to know....:-P I think I could pick a Hamlet 2007 onwards. He started picking his own tobacco and he has a signature blend. However if he travels abroad he is allocated tobacco and I couldn't really tell a Hamlet from a Yasmel except that Hamlet will put an extra leaf of Ligero in the back third where as Yasmel does not. It may be a stretch but the master rollers when in Havana have their own styles/blends. Smoke enough of any and you get to know the style/blend.
Tampa1257 Posted June 13, 2008 Posted June 13, 2008 » I never tasted a P2 like your noted flavor .Prez » » Must be a bastard P2 ..;-) Jimmy, Rob's review had me going toward the PSP2 except the description of Gingerbread. The sweet Bell Peppers and Paprika are flavors I find in both the PSP2 and the Dip 2, only I have never experienced Gingerbreat in a Partagas before, thus my previous belief that the cigar was a Dip 2. If Rob had not mentioned the Gingerbread, I would have believed the cigar to be a PSP2.
El Presidente Posted November 15, 2008 Author Posted November 15, 2008 This one will be a walk in the park. Lovely piramide which looks a little darker in the photo's because of a cloudy start to the day here in Brisbane town. Plenty of oil to the wrapper. Has in reality a reddish hue which is my preferred shade. Aroma at cold is musty barnyard with a sweet smoked parika edge. Angle clipped the cap. Sweet tobacco note on the lips. Fired up the foot. Welcome to wonderland.....medium body....so smooth. Gingerbread, capsicum, toasted tobacco. Surely these are some of the most consistent Piramides being made today. There is a cheese rind edge to this cigar which plays so well with the other flavours. The burn is off and needs consistent corection and yet this is its only fault. The aroma of the plentiful smoke is tobacco mmixed with savoury spice. Building slightly in body past the mid point but retaining all of its class. I love the gingerbread and capsicum note. The toasted tobacco now coming more to the fore. Some charred wood entering the backend but playiing second fiddle to the main performers. The cigar finishes cleanly. There is little aftertaste. Each of the flavours are well defined. Pure bliss.
