gostgost Posted May 30, 2008 Posted May 30, 2008 Hey Lisa if you are talking about trying to send emails Wednesday night US time Comcast was attacked by hackers Wednesday into Thursday morning which created a major disruption here. I've never have had a problem (comcast user) with any of your emails or Robs. Dave.
Claudius Posted May 30, 2008 Posted May 30, 2008 » I've never have had a problem (comcast user) with any of your emails or » Robs. » » » Dave. Dave, how would you know if you did NOT get an email?
gostgost Posted May 30, 2008 Posted May 30, 2008 Dave, I rely on Comcast for my business and my wife business for email and we did not get any email from anyone but received dozen of telephone calls asking us what was wrong with our email. I also have gotten dozen of emails from Rob and Lisa without a problem. Comcast admits that their email servers were the focus of attack. Dave.

gostgost Posted May 30, 2008 Posted May 30, 2008 Lisa, Off the internet this morning. NEW YORK - Hackers took over Comcast Corp.'s Web portal for several hours overnight, denying 14.1 million subscribers access to the cable company's site for e-mail, news and technical support. The front page of Comcast.net went down shortly before 11 p.m. EDT Wednesday and was replaced with a note saying the hackers had "RoXed" Comcast, according to postings at BroadbandReports.com. Comcast spokeswoman Jennifer Khoury said Thursday that the hijacking had been reversed in the morning, but that it was possible some users were still unable to access Comcast.net and Web-based e-mail. There was no indication that e-mail or other private information was compromised by the attack, Comcast said. It didn't stop customers from getting their e-mail through programs like Outlook. The hackers appeared to have seized control of the Comcast.net domain name at registrar Network Solutions Inc. and redirected it to other servers, Khoury said. "We have alerted law enforcement authorities and are working in conjunction with them," Khoury said. On the Net: http://www.comcast.net
