twas a good memorial day indeed

so i was stuck here in austin at home with nothing to do today. i awoke quite early, at 11am, and made my first cup of espresso. i check ICC for posts as usual, as well as other boards, ebay and myspace. then i proceed to start playing poker online.

throughout the day played some sit and go's and had decenct luck. lost a few, won a few and overall broke even. i even played a few tourneys for play chips. 7 1/2 hours later i proceeded to head into town (after cooking leftovers of pork and eggs for breakfast and then cooking a whole salmon for dinner) for a live poker game.

my bassist met up with me for the poker game, but alas, it was not to be. they had cancelled the poker game because of the holiday. since i was already there we decided to take advantage of the half price pitcher night. $8 pitchers of stella artois can NOT be beat, so i downed 1 1/2 of them and then figured i better get home while i could still drive.

i was already about 4 cigars in for the day and proceeded to light up another one while i poured a glass of talisker 10 YO. WOW! i had forgotten how good this **** was until i had downed the first glass. needless to say at this point i was HAMMERED. so what else to do but pour another glass. after all it was only 11pm and i ain't got nothing to do tomorrow.

here it is 12:35am and i gotta turn in. i don't know what's come over me to go to bed so early. maybe i'm just getting OLD!! LMAO!!! my woman even called me drunk from the lakehouse up in fort worth and we talked for a bit before she passed out drunk......................gotta love those 25 YO's. :-D

hope you all had a lovely holiday. i'm gonna get some sleep now and hopefully tomorrow will be much more productive..................but i doubt it.

Sounds like a great way to spend a day off. I'm getting time off for good behaviour in a week (fiancee going interstate) and I can only hope to enjoy myself as much.
