Around May of 2003 HSA started using new box codes and I believe they now rotate them as well so it may be tough to find out what the factory code is on this one. 2003 Box codes: GKI Francisco Pérez Germán (Partagás) LLN José Martí (H. Rogers72 Posted May 7, 2008 Posted May 7, 2008 After trying to decipher the info above, I have a question. I guess I have never even thought about how many factories Habanos actually has in operation and what the scope of each one is. I have always heard of Partagas, El Laguito, Upmann, and La Corona and always kinda assumed that there may only be 4 or 5 factories. Maybe Rob or someone with some real Havana knowledge can enlighten me b/c it seems after this thread as though there may be many more than I realize. Just curious on how many and how the compare I guess.
jdbrown Posted May 7, 2008 Posted May 7, 2008 Not sure of which factory but OUR is a boxcode currently associated with Trinidad.
Jimmy2 Posted May 7, 2008 Posted May 7, 2008 jdbrown (OUR) is correct as Trini is a high end name it would have to be made at one of the best factories.
El Presidente Posted May 7, 2008 Posted May 7, 2008 Iit is nigh impossible for the layman to work out the current factory codes and that is just the way Habanos s.a wants it.
Ken Gargett Posted May 7, 2008 Posted May 7, 2008 interesting stuff. so that would mean that a lot (all?) of the early siglo vi's were done at upmann rather than laguito. must say i had not twigged to that. just assumed laguito.

Visited H.Upmann recently (april) and heaps of Siglo VI boxes there...
