jdbrown Posted May 6, 2008 Posted May 6, 2008 She must have a mean right hook! My late 06 Box is still on the very full side but smoothing out a bit at the same time. My last example from BGE DIC 06 was nothing short of superb.
zuma Posted May 6, 2008 Posted May 6, 2008 Prez... just how you found her, that how I like her... thanx for the rev!

El Presidente Posted November 15, 2008 Author Posted November 15, 2008 Cohiba Siglo I TEB JUN 07 Had a hearty breakfast with the local FOH crew (Shagga, Graham, Scott, Junior Shagga, Merls) at Harveys and headed 8am to the Czar office. Brewed a black coffee for Lise and headed to the rocking chair on the deck to chack my e-mails and forums. Perfect blue Autumn sky, 23 degrees Celsius today and not a breath of wind. Contemplating going fishing but fearful of Lisa’s right hook. Will pass to next week. Selected a Siglo I from an open box in the humidor. Gorgeous looking little cigar with an aroma at cold of the Dalby rodeo…all horseshit, hay and old rope. Clipped the cap and found a perfect draw and sweet tobacco on the lips. Fired up the foot and was confronted with a mean son of a bitch…..all power/pepper/coal in a display of complete defiance. Loving it. The start is no less than full bodied but it settles down to medium full before long. Don’t get me wrong you can stimulate an aggressive response with a few quickdraws and it will buck and scream into a full bodied tantrum. Still, take it easy…..whisper sweet nothings and it is all cocoa, dark espresso and leathery tobacco in a mid full format. I love the Siglo I as a rule. It is the strongest cigar in the Siglo line and outside the Trinidad Reyes nothing accompanies a morning coffee better. The second third is the first third on sedatives. Siglo I has reluctantly settled down but not without a fight. It wants to scream in a general direction of flavour but does not have the guise to do so. What remains is a tantalizingly good 30 minute cigar which holds nothing back. Give it another 3-4 years and you will have a medium /full cocoa espresso cigar beyond par. Right now they are thoroughly enjoyable. 90/100
