Alberto_Magnus Posted April 2, 2008 Posted April 2, 2008 Something absurd I found at an Habanos Point here in Naples: a Siglo II LE 2004! I am wordless. Notice how the anilla is pasted backwards!
sandholm Posted April 2, 2008 Posted April 2, 2008 » Something absurd I found at an Habanos Point here in Naples: a Siglo II LE » 2004! I am wordless. I am not 100% sure, not a big cohiba fan, but I usually buy some boxes (friends and business) and I more or less always get the limited editions from habanos, and I believe that the only limitadas from Cohiba is. 2001 - Piramide 2003 - Double Corona 2004 - Sublime 2006 - Piramide (remake of 2001) ... so i would say fake... cheers
Mr. Japan Posted April 2, 2008 Posted April 2, 2008 It is surely a fake and I would like to ask you wich tobacconist sold you this cigar so we can make an official claim to Italian importer Diadema. Yoou can also PM me if you like. Gino aka Mr.Japan
Guest rob Posted April 2, 2008 Posted April 2, 2008 » Something absurd I found at an Habanos Point here in Naples: a Siglo II LE » 2004! I am wordless. It appears to be recycled bands from 2004 Sublimes... the bands are to big for the cigar - the "E" in "Edicion" is covered and the same goes for the upper band.

I also opened a topic about it on the CCA Italian Forum. I'll write you in private as well And thanks to all of you for your feedback. Rob, you have a point there! The anilla is too big, hence it's a recycled Sublime one! I hadnt thought about it.
El Presidente Posted April 2, 2008 Posted April 2, 2008 It is important that your Italian board work with Diadema to find the source of the fake. It may just be an irresponsible retailer looking for a markup or it could be a parallel importing operation dealing in fakes who sold it to the retailer. Find out the detail and put pressure on Diadema and Habanos s.a to Prosecute.
