Key is has to choose the 'dark & oily' wrapper because there is big difference in taste! 3) VR Maestros - very fragnant even now... 4) ED 109 - a bit flat now but sure to develop given time. the rest, my impressions are lukwarm ~ of course, i been wrong before...hehe:-P Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Quick question Fatcigar: is there any particular wrapper colour you'd recommend on these? I usually like smokes with a lighter wrapper, but don't haven't had a single maestro yet so I don't know if this applies. Good looking smokes btw. In my limited experience, i've found the quality is pretty consistent and almost all wrapper are Colorado...consistent in tastes too ! No Fear ! I did not find it to be a light cigar, but perhaps it was for the Bolivar line. It was still moist, and should have been dry boxed or settled longer in my humidor, but it was very interesting to me. Hmmm...I like the heavier profile of Bolivar, but you make the DC sound very interesting. And DC, the only place I know of that has it in now is a MidEast vendor I no longer use. PM me if you like. I'm planning on letting mine sit for around another 3 months before torching them. I've been able to locate most of the RE except for ED 109 and Viking. These 2 have just been able to elude me. PM me if you like. Thanks Pimp! I do not likely need a source. I got some responses in PM's and am dealing with a ME retailer to get these now. They did not say anything about it, but one of the references to the site told me they ship without bands to the US, sending those separate. If anyone knows a retailer who does not do this (with Bolivar DC's) I am interested. It may be strange given the current climate politically, but nothing much coming to the US is opened by those who search for things like embargoed items... I had a package opened recently, which was closed back up and sent on (with bands.) There were 55 smokes and only two were damaged when they used a sharp knife to open the package.
