Anyone here smoke Diplomatico's ?? Was gifted a No 3 from 2001 and I was blown away...creamy and taste of Honey...the aroma was like perfume..... very surprised..... must get me some of these smokes

i also usually choose diplomaticos over their complimentary montecristo counterparts. i have had better examples of monte 2's and 4's, but nowhere near the consistency of the dip 2's and 4's. i blew through a number of dips over last weekend.

I agree with Harwellplant. I have some three year old Dip#4 that are the best PC's that I own. I have some more recent stock of the #2 that have the loviest dark wrappers but seem to be a sick peroid now.

New Motto - Never run out of Dips.

i didn't say i would choose dip2 over psp2 or vru, just that i would draw one before a monte2 because of the hit or miss i have experienced with it. candidly, i would pull a vru at most any time over anything else.

I have not tried any of the other line but I am a big fan of #2. I agree that it is very consistant and I enjoy the profile. In fact, I should have a box arriving any day from our friend down under.

I enjoy the the #2 & #3. The problem I have is the SC La Punta is just so much better IMHO that I just do not order the Dip's.

I also am a fan of the #2 vitola. I am of the opinion that the Dip is not better than the Monte #2 or Upmann #2 but that one should have them all. As to the BBF, SC La Punta, VRU, R&J, and Sancho Panza they are not Piramides but Campanas. We should have all of them too. I just need the R&J to complete my collection.

My PSP2 are flat as all get out. Long winters nap needed.

Just got a box of Dip #2. My first impression, good cigar but the youth (05s) does show through. This cigar should get better with age. I've smoked a couple with 3-4 yrs. age and they were great.

 On average, I prefer the Dips over Monte's. Too bad they got rid of the #7. I have one sitting in the humi that was gifted, waiting for a special occassion. :-p. Hmmm, Rob, maybe you could convince Habanos to bring back the Dip #7?

I've tried the #4's with a bit of age on them. Cant say i was all that impressed but i do plan to go back in for another go-round and see if things have changed...that is once i shake this darn cold:-|

Never smoked any of the Dips. I was thinking of getting those No 4's on the aged cigar list, but someone snagged 'em before I could.

Def one for me to try out though.

I love the whole range. I recently picked up a couple and the draw was so smooth. They were a joy to smoke. Plus relatively easy on the bank balance

I just smoked a No 4. Its only been in the humi 3 days now. It was a beaut of a smoke, very enjoyable. Looks like more of this line is on my horizon.

The Diplo #2's are sometimes, need I say most of the time, better IMO than the Monte #2's.

More honey and less earth.

I really like the Diplo 4's and the Diplo 3's.

Never had a bad one.

THe Monte counterparts I like as well, but have had some flat #4's.
