1f1fan Posted October 3, 2005 Posted October 3, 2005 So what did everyone smoke this weekend? I had a great PSD3 EL 01 on Friday Then met up with a friend on Saturday night... Punch Margarita - 95 I think...lots of smoke and great flavor Monte Joyita - 96...good monte flavor is a small package Plugged and soapy tasting Monte D - try again in a year, don't want to waste them. Partagas 8-9-8 varn from 03 - Good cigar, love to try some 5 year old 8-9-8 varn I have a feeling I will be smoking more of the Punch Margaritas as the weather gets cooler.

Sunday I had a 2000 H. Uppman Lonsdale out on the deck watching the Arizona San Fran game through the window on the deck.

Someone else described a Monte D as tasting soapy.....this cigar tasted like Dawn dishwashing liquid. What can I say....Dawn looked tasty when I was 4. Great bubbles. Also smoked a mid 60's Upmann 2 that was beyond amazing. Very earthy and the years in storage did nothing but make it taste better.

CIGARHead Posted October 4, 2005 Posted October 4, 2005 Fri. - '05 VR Unicos. Great flavor, slight resistance in the draw, flawless construction, but not much smoke volume. Dont know what went wrong. Very strange. I'll let the rest..well...rest Sat. - Too many drinks to think about smoking. Sun. - Monte D. Very good, but very underfilled. Had to relight the bastard at least 10 times.
