Drink of choice with your favorite cigar

» What's your favorite drink to accompany your cigar?

My favorite drink is Chivas Regal Scotch with an H. Upmann Sir Winston, that has a few years of age on it.

I have found I don't enjoy a cigar nearly as much if I don't have my scotch with it...and the strange thing is that I don't like scotch unless I'm smoking a cigar, but the two together are the perfect compliment to one another.

» Coffee in the morning

» Beer in the early afternoon

» Cab Sav for dinner

» Port for Dessert

» Bourbon for in the evening

Coffee

and when the sun in over the yarndarm

a port....

Usually wine is before a cigar.

I would not want to ruin the taste of both.

Have to really set up to relax - so a nice breeze on the balcony, humidor, favourite chair, iced esky full of beer & a handy bottle of Havana Club, Bundy Black (aged rum) & diet coke. Let the freeloaders arrive !

» For me, if it is after dinner, I like to accompany a strong cigar like the

» BBF with either Woodford Reserve bourbon or Havana Club 7 year old rum. If

» it is a morning cigar like the Juan Lopez seleccion no.2, then I'll pair it

» with coffee. In the afternoon, I like a medium bodied smoke like the PSD4

» and I'll pair that with plain hot tea. I find that the tea will clears my

» course the poker cigars, these I will accompany with pretty much anything

» available like beer, coke, water, or on bad nights, humble pie.

Cognac or Single Malt Scotch for me!

Okay, I have been drinking decent Australian and California tawnies. But, blech! Do they taste like dog crap after drinking a good Portugese Vintage port!

Next time I'll need to give my tongue a day to come back down to reality before moving back to the cheapa stuff.
