northo Posted January 25, 2008 Posted January 25, 2008 Greetings all. I've been lurking for a while (my bad) without introducing myself, so here goes. I'm English (everybody's favourite colonial overlords no?), and live in Dublin and London. My favourite smokes are mostly smaller ring gauges (great laguito#1 reviews recently) and medium bodied, though I sometimes enjoy milder smokes too. I will defend the HdM PR to the hilt. Good to hear the recent hospital trip went well Rob. Keep up the good work. And I promise not to mention recent rugby results too often. Maybe.
Mel39 Posted January 25, 2008 Posted January 25, 2008 Welcome from a Londoner. They are good people here. They had to be for me to cross the pond solely to meet up with some of them in December. I have also met some from the US in London. We meet at JJ Fox in St. James where we could "sample" from their wares. However they have had Westminster City Council ante-smoking fascists breathing down their neck lately and now sampling has to take place in the Museum in the basement. Still a good place to meet when you are in London especially if you have never been there. mel39
El Presidente Posted January 25, 2008 Posted January 25, 2008 Welcome mate We love Poms here! I think Ken is currently away but he is sure to give you a royal welcome  Be gentle with Ken. He can be a little intimidated by representatives of our "mother country". He tends to dip the cap. Say hello to Liz.
anacostiakat Posted January 25, 2008 Posted January 25, 2008 Well at least you live in Ireland! :-D What is the climate in Ireland for smoking. I know there is a ban, right? Where do you buy in Ireland? Send me some Middletons! ;-) Welcome Aboard! Aaarrrggghhh. . .

I occasionally have a small smoke and a coffee sitting outside a cafe on a nice day. But in general prefer to smoke inside in my newly created "Gentlemen's Smoke Room". My girlfriend isn't happy:-D When buying singles in Ireland I tend to go The Decent Cigar Emporium in Dublin. Rubbish name, good people.
