MaltPointer Posted January 4, 2008 Posted January 4, 2008 Greetings, and cheers, everyone. Wanted to stop by and introduce myself, now that I'm all registered and stuff, and have actually placed my first order. I'm Charles and I currrently live in Roswell, Georgia (no UFOs here; least not that I can talk about :-) ), though I do spend a fair amount of time on the road. Mostly St. Louis, Charlotte, NYC, and Cleveland. I'm not only new to the board, I'm also new to cigars, though I'm enjoying it mightily. Add this vice to the others I was able to finally indulge in post-divorce . . . single-malts, Irish whisky, (loud) guitar, cooperative women, giant flat-panel televisions, and filling the house with friends as often as I can. Cheers!

MaltPointer Posted January 13, 2008 Author Posted January 13, 2008 » » Taking notes? » » » » » » The grass always looks greener on the other side...yet I am aware of the » cost ;-) Well, I'm the wrong guy to ask for advice on this; for the first year after my divorce, I was a one-note, um, Charlie, no matter what my friends were asking my advice on. Some sample conversations: friend: "my roof is leaking." me: "get a divorce. friend: "my car won't start." me: "get a divorce." friend: "know any good restaurants in town?" me: "get a divorce." you get the picture. Thanks for the great welcome, guys . . . Charles

I forgot guns. and comfortable furniture . . . that you're allowed to sit in. only thing missing so far is a beloved German Shorthaired Pointer--I travel too much to care for a dog right now. . . . oh yeah, and Aubrey/Maturin books, and Battlestar Galactica, and . . . Thanks for all the kind welcoming comments. Cheers!
