tigger Posted December 26, 2007 Posted December 26, 2007 Had one from a sometime in '07 50 ct cab for lunch today. Not much of a review here, other than to say their earthy, fruity strength will be very very tasty in a few years. Very strong, but the strength doesn't overwhelm the flavors, which I can't say about a couple of the higher-priced, limited Dominican Davidoff's I've had at the end of this year.

Currently my favorite Bolivar, and one of the very best of all the 2006-07 vintage. I also smoked a '99 and an '01 recently, but I think that the recent ones are better. As you say, sweeter and fruitier. The older ones had more of an 'earthy' profile, which I don't like as much.
Colt45 Posted December 26, 2007 Posted December 26, 2007 I have an '06 cabinet in storage - I'm looking forward to trying them some day. :-)
smk819 Posted December 26, 2007 Posted December 26, 2007 I have a box of '07s that are half gone already. I can't keep my hands off of them.
Fletcher Posted December 27, 2007 Posted December 27, 2007 Cracked into my 07 Cab for my Christmas day smoke. Maybe the best cigar I have had this year. Christmas Eve was an Upman SW from 03 box. I guess I was better this year than I thought
tacmedic Posted December 27, 2007 Posted December 27, 2007 smoked an 06 on Christmas eve...great medium full bodied cigar with earthy and fruit, coffee notes...I should have bought the whole box...
bassman Posted December 27, 2007 Posted December 27, 2007 Very impressed with 06 & 07 BCEs. 04s very bland. 01 &98 great if you get a good box, but lots of very tightly rolled ones around then too.

Right on. I can't recall too many production Habanos that have been out and out harsh without the benefit of other redeeming qualities. Wilkey

The pick of 07 Corona Gorda's ;-)
