jwm8592 Posted October 23, 2007 Posted October 23, 2007 I had one of these for the first time over the weekend, it was from a 3 pack from Lisa box codes PLM DIC 06, WOW!! what a great cigar. Complex as they come with the tastes ever changing. It started out spicy with some peppery tastes, evolving into some woodsy, even cedary tastes. All the while maintaining a back drop of super creamy smoothness that I can't say I have ever experienced. About the half way point or a little beyond it had a subtle sweetness added in, it almost seemed like a clove taste, but not sure. This sweetness carried thru to the end. What a divine smoke. Wondered if anyone else has had a similar experience with this cigar, or even from these codes, or a late 06 sample? Thinking of pulling the trigger on a box if Prez still has some from late 06. How would one compare these to the Siglo VI, I have heard the the VI's are to die for.
habanohal Posted October 23, 2007 Posted October 23, 2007 I have only had 5 good CoRos and they were from 5 boxes of the Sellecion Robusto cases. Never have I had a good or even tast y Siglo 6. Tried many of them and no luck here
Colt45 Posted October 23, 2007 Posted October 23, 2007 I am a fan of the CoRo, and I don't think you can go wrong with a box, really regardless of codes. I am no fan of the Siglo VI.
anacostiakat Posted October 23, 2007 Posted October 23, 2007 Nice! I initially did not care much for this cigar and thought they were not worth the coin. I thought the SIG VI was where it was at. Now the SIG VI (and V and III and I for that matter) are good solid smokes and I will continue to acquire them. But low and behold, I revisited the CoRo this past year and fell in love with it! I find there is more body to this cigar than I was able to discern initially. I really must pull the trigger on some of these and I would love to find some with age.

Cam Posted October 23, 2007 Posted October 23, 2007 thanks for the note and heads up i'll give some a try!
El Presidente Posted October 24, 2007 Posted October 24, 2007 They have been downright excellent. To me still the consistent king of Robusto both Cuban and non Cuban. I will take one over a Siglo VI any day. I adore the flavour complexity and richness.
Jimmy2 Posted October 24, 2007 Posted October 24, 2007 Never liked them and i did try 2 boxes but i dont see what most see about them.
bassman Posted October 24, 2007 Posted October 24, 2007 To me the CoRo is a good smoke, but not worth the premium over other robustos. Never cared for the VI at all. More for you guys!:-D
jasonM Posted October 25, 2007 Posted October 25, 2007 I had my first CORO today as a gift from my neighbor who just got bacck from Havana on business. I HAVE SEEN THE LIGHT!!! :-D
