Cam Posted October 23, 2007 Posted October 23, 2007 The best modern wine in existence? I had a bottle at only 499.00 a bottle it's a relative bargain right now, scored a perfect 100 and won a gold medal for excellence in wine making. Rich. Complex. Hearty. Very French. you should try one. hints of lavender, herbs, pinot grapes, very very dark reddish brown, good pairing with a Davidoff demi-tasse or small cigar. Best drunk with game, rabbit, pheasant or duck and enjoyed with creamy cheeses and caramel.. mmm
Jimmy2 Posted October 23, 2007 Posted October 23, 2007 That is a great price going for any where at this time 750 to 1000 $$.
Cam Posted October 23, 2007 Author Posted October 23, 2007 yeah it was good!! if you want a bottle i can probably arrange at a similar price or ill share if you're ever down this ways
Ken Gargett Posted October 23, 2007 Posted October 23, 2007 fantastic wine and an even better price! i'd still go with some of the very top burgs ahead of young bordeaux and i have spent hundreeds of hours arguing this so know that those who disagree will never see the light. but for a young bordeaux, not much better. for me, the only young one of late that i think might top it is 03 latour. stunning. was that price aussie, kiwi or usa $?
Cam Posted October 23, 2007 Author Posted October 23, 2007 US dollar, and yeah the chateau latour was excellent, the Bordeaux of late have been surprisingly crisp and consistent one can only imagine the aging and investment potential! I heard the latour was excellent I should clarify i haven't tried a bottle!
Guest Warren Posted October 23, 2007 Posted October 23, 2007 » I Love Palmer .. Is that Mrs. Palmer and her 5 daughters.

The world truly is globalised when you live in Southern France and procure bordeaux in USD rather than Euro.
