Im an idiot, should have taken a look at that. thanks Mike. A lot of disappointing things to say from a lot of people on the DC size. Guess I'll stick with CG's and Torpedo's for now.
bassman Posted October 2, 2007 Posted October 2, 2007 The 01 SLR DCs are pretty strong. Not so since then. I'd say the strongest current DC is the Punch.
Colt45 Posted October 2, 2007 Posted October 2, 2007 In case you have not read it already, here is a recent '07 SLR DC review from our own SLR DC zealot Ken Gargett: [link=http://www.friendsofhabanos.com/board_entry.php?id=62067&page=0&category=all&order=last_answer&descasc=DESC.tld/]LINK[/link]
Mel Posted October 2, 2007 Posted October 2, 2007 I have not smoked an 07 SLR DC but if I were to think DC and powerhouse I would first think Ramon Allones Gigantes.

jqmunro Posted October 3, 2007 Posted October 3, 2007 I have some 06 DC's and they smoke great already... another 5-10 years will allow them to develope to their fullest
shrink Posted October 3, 2007 Posted October 3, 2007 I am inclined to take Ken Gargett's recent SLR DC review with more than a bit of salt. There is no one that I know, except perhaps Rob, who knows this cigar better than Ken does. And while I suspect that his review has been influenced a tad by his passion for this particular cigar, I don't doubt for a moment that the early '07's are classics in the making. Perhaps as good as the vaunted 2001 vintage (which I can confirm were the previous benchmark); perhaps even better... In which case, with time, they would come perilously close to... Perfection.
shrink Posted October 3, 2007 Posted October 3, 2007 By the way, how do you pronounce 'aavkk'. In my mind's eye, I picture a prehistoric bird, or even a pteradactyl, crying out as it swoops on its prey.

shrink Posted October 3, 2007 Posted October 3, 2007 rob said you were old. Not so much old, as grey...

I actually play a lot of poker and it happens to be my online username, a pair of aces vs a pair of kings. Texas Hold'em and only texas hold'em.
