Mike33 Posted September 21, 2007 Posted September 21, 2007 This cigar is something special, at least, after my first that is how I feel! Seriously, I had one tonight that I got in my boxpass from Wilkey. Don't know on the box code, but it was a revelation. I wasn't expecting a whole lot as I am generally not a big bolivar guy, however, this cigar had it all. Rich coffee bean, heavy notes of earth, slight spice to it for the first half of the cigar, and a power that creeps up on you. No bitterness at all and it wasn't powerful enough to make you queasy, just right. I mean for a $11-$12 cigar, it has been the best young smoke I have had in a LONG time. This will be a classic in 5-6 years I believe. Buy as many boxes as you can
anacostiakat Posted September 21, 2007 Posted September 21, 2007 Will have to get some more. I can not possibly try one from the lonely box I have! ;-)
brian1 Posted September 21, 2007 Posted September 21, 2007 Totally agree Mike, these are the best young cigar I have ever tasted.. » This cigar is something special, at least, after my first that is how I » feel! » » Seriously, I had one tonight that I got in my boxpass from Wilkey. I've smoked one and given a few away and so I'm down to a perilously low number of these gems. I'm a fan of Bolivar and I feel these are right at the top of the heap. Never having had a Wolters or original release, I can't say how they compare. But I can say that for the price, it would be hard to conceive of either of those doing better as far as bang for the buck. IMO, these hold their own against any of the recent ELs and ERs. Wilkey
Loki Posted September 21, 2007 Posted September 21, 2007 I had one a couple of weeks ago, thanks Jimmy, and though it showed promise they're not quite ready yet. I will not touch mine for atleast 4 years now that I've tried one.

I hope the more recent production boxes are smoking as well as Wilkey's POS 06 box, but I am fearful they will need more time to settle down to be really good. There is a lot of merit to the belief that the Original Release of a cigar is better than subsequent production. I hope that is not true with the BGMs.
