I've got a few PL petit coronas (dated 02/07)...have smoked one a month since receiving them in July, and they all smoked really young and underdeveloped. For a smaller gauge stick they seem to take their time! I'm keeping them at 65% RH, so just curious how much time you more experienced members have given them? (I'm in no rush, but considering buying a cabinet, and want to have some feeling that they'll age well!) Thanks for the help & input...

My own personal opinion is that these are cigars that truly need time. I've had them very young where

they showed some caramel and weren't terrible, but they closed down fast.

I call these get 'em and forget 'em cigars. I'll give a ballpark time of two years minimum.

Thanks Colt...that's kind of what I figured! I'm not in any rush, but you know how it can be when you try a new brand/vitola....want to get some idea of the hidden magic, even though you know it'll take some quality aging time!

I absolutely understand - how else do we determine if a particular cigar might be for us?!

But personally, I feel this is one of those cigars I truly wasted by smoking young examples.

Really showed nothing of it's true self for quite some time. I'm sure other members will

add their experiences.

Everyone's taste is different. I really liked the 04s when fresh, then they closed down & now they are tasting better than ever. If they don't taste right, let them sit & they'll get better. As long as you have proper storage, cigars won't go bad on you.

i have a few '01's left that i need to revisit very soon.

my cab of '04's is coming along nicely (the last one i smoked was in may of this year).

my half cab of '06's is pretty horrible. i smoked one of those every month or so to see how they are developing and well.......................they are not.

this is definitely a cigar that needs at least 3-4 years of rest. i suggest not smoking anymore of them until then. it'll be a waste.
